Chunk hoppers/chests through gameplay?

I recently looked at the patch notes (survival reset announcement) and saw that the chunk hoppers (and chunk chests?) Are attainable through gameplay.

I've looked through many systems, asked a couple of players and looked at the updated survival guide but i cannot find anything about getting them both through gameplay.

And i have not seen anything about chunk chests either.

Are the chunk hoppers only attainable through purchasing them with gold and trading or also gameplay, and if so how?

They are obtainable through the wizardshop. You can access the wizardshop using the command /ws.
