► What is Survival
Survival is an open-world gamemode where players are free to do what they want. With large custom worlds and world structures at your disposal, it's up to you on how you want to play. Feeling creative? Claim some land and build creations. Place down playerwarps to show them off! Feeling like a merchant? Set up player shops, sell items on the auction house, and build an economy with you at it's center. Feeling itchy for a fight? Create a team, gear up, and lead them to battle in our PvP Arena that features a custom arena map that changes every season reset! Whatever you are in the mood for, Survival has it all.
Note: Players should read and familiar themselves with our rules in order to avoid punishments.
► Survival Resets
The Survival season doesn't reset as often as compared to other gamemodes, around once or twice a year. A reset will wipe mostly everything including every world, player vault, inventory, and currencies, giving players a fresh start. This is also when seasonal vouchers will expire which include seasonal ranks, seasonal command vouchers, and so on. If it has the word "seasonal", it will expire after a reset. Permanent ranks; ranks that are obtained via rank vouchers, from goldshop, PikaNetwork store, or giveaways; will not be removed after a reset, allowing those with ranks to get a head-start on their journey. Let's get you familiarlized with what Survival features and how they work.

► Survival Worlds
Survival offers multiple world types to serve as mediums of resource and space for whatever you want. There are four worlds available to players being survival world, resource world, nether worlds, and the end. They each are different sizes and house limitations on what can and cannot be done in each world type.
Spawn Area
Where every new player first spawns. It houses important elements of survival including lootcrates, the wizard, the auction house, zookeeper NPC, black market, travelling merchant, and PvP Arena. This also serves as a respawn point for those who die in PvP or within any of the worlds without an existing bed or respawn anchor. Below is a list of the spawn area's features.

This also serves as a respawn point for those who die in PvP or within any of the worlds without an existing bed or respawn anchor. Below is a list of the spawn area's features.
- Lootcrates (/warp crates)
- These are crates that house various awards. Each lootcrate and seasonal lootcrate will have their own reward possibilities. There are 4 regular crates that are always available over at /warp crates; Voting crate, Epic crate, Unique crate, and Godly crate. Then there are the seasonal keys that change every once in a while that is usually centered around a theme, including it's rewards. Aside from seasonal keys, the exclusive lootcrates get added during special occasions and holidays. Typically these lootcrates will reward the player with more than one item and can even have an opening animation.
- The auction house (/ah)
- The auction house, or commonly abbreviated as "ah", is a place to quickly sell something off for money, experience, or Pika gold. It can be found in the spawn area south of the spawn point or can be accessed anywhere with /ah. You can put multiple items up onto the auction house which makes selling really easy. To sell on the auction house, simply hold the item you wish to sell and run the command /ah sell [amount] [money, xp, or gold].
- Players who have at least Samurai or above will be able to advertise their auction listings with sending "[ah]" into game chat.
- Zookeeper NPC (/warp zoo)
- The zoo keeper is where you can get your pets in exchange of experience points. These pets give you a bonus depending on what pet you activate. To view or activate them, you run the /pets command.
- A section explaining pets and their abilities more in-depth can be found later in this guide.
- Black market (/warp bmarket)
- 8 items are listed that change every 24 hours that can be exchanged for money. These are chosen at complete random so no one knows what will be the next 8 items. The first 2 items are unlocked for everyone but the rest are locked behind a player level increasing in 10 increments. For example, the 3rd item requires player level 10 while the 4th item requires player level 20.
- This is a popular choice of income as you can sell items with no limit. Meaning hoarding a specific item till it's listed in the black market and cashing out all at once.
- King rank holders can enjoy an increased sell price.
- Travelling merchant (/warp merchant)
- 6 items are listed that change every 24 hours that can be bought for money. Like the black market, the items are chosen at complete random from a set item list. This list can be viewed by clicking the bookshelf item in each respective menu.
- Most of the time the travelling merchant is used for rare materials or rare blocks that would otherwise be annoying to find naturally.
- King rank holders can enjoy a decreased buy price.
- The Wizard (/wizardshop)
- 3 useful items and cosmetics with limited stock in exchange for shards currency. These include maces, chatcolors, nickcolors, goldshop tags, weekly ranks, and gkit container vouchers.
- Opens for the weekends; fridays, saturdays, and sundays; and stays open for 6 hours while rechoosing 3 items and their stock every 5-6 minutes (for each of the 3 days).
- PvP Arena (/pvp)
- The only place that allows PvP by default. Here, no one is safe and there is much to lose, or much to gain. Keepinventory is off.
Survival world
This is the main overworld where everyone has access to. With it's size being 60k by 60k (30k in each direction from 0,0), it serves as a playground for creativity. On this world, PvP is disabled everywhere, claims are enabled, playerwarps are enabled, and playershops are enabled. Fire spread is disabled as well as TNT unless it's used under the sea level or within a claim that allows it with /claimexplosion.

Resource world
This is a secondary world that is much smaller than the main overworld, only being 10k by 10k (5k in each direction from 0,0). As the name suggests, It's purpose is for resource gathering to sustain projects in the main overworld and to protect the overworld from becoming saturated of resources. Here, PvP is still disabled everywhere. However, claims, playerwarps, and playershops are disabled. TNT and Fire spread is enabled. Like the overworld, it has it's own Nether resource world. This world is only accessable to players who have reached level 5 on /playerlevel. The unique characterstic of this world is that it will reset at the end of each week on saturday between 8 and 9pm GMT; reset as in, any claims, buildings, and resources is removed and refreshed. This makes it unsuitable for building.

Nether worlds
There are two nether worlds within Survival; survival nether world and resource nether world. The only differences is that the resource world has claiming disabled, can only be entered once playerlevel 5 is achieved, and resets weekly on saturdays between 8 and 9 pm GMT, while the regular nether world doesn't have any of those things. They are both the same world size being 10k by 10k (5k in each direction from 0,0). Each nether world can be entered by entering a nether portal within their complimentary world type. The nether resource world can also be entered by using /worlds.

End
A regular end dimension spanning 25k by 25k (12.5k in each direction from 0,0). Building is disabled at the spawn location of the end, where the ender dragon roams, but is enabled at the end islands. Claims are enabled but entities like minecarts aren't. Only those who achieve player level 75 are able to enter the end. It cannot be entered from end portals in overworld or resource world.

Be careful of who you give claim permissions to and only give them to those you truely trust.

► Survival Classes
Survival classes, also commonly known as global kits or "gkits", are bundles that, once claimed, will award you with a set inventory of items and gear. These aren't obtainable from the PikaNetwork store but access can be bought from /goldshop. Each class are given to you as a voucher item which can be claimed by right-clicking it while held in your hand. This voucher item can then be sold or traded. If access is bought via the goldshop then you will be able to get most class voucher items repeatedly permanently with a cooldown. Most, not all, classes have a cooldown of 7 days. This cooldown is reduced if you possess a Pika+ subscription. Below are every available class including their inventory of items.
It should be noted that the format of the item's names are made to match what it'll look in-game. For example, MinerHelmet is what the helmet will be named, being colored, bolded, and underlined in the same manner.

This section will focus on the economy related features of survival, this section will not include prices of items as they aren't fixed and change with supply and demand. Main coverage will be types of currencies, trading, gifting, privating chests, claiming system, playershops, and playerwarps.
Types of currencies
There are a lot of different currencies to keep track of, each has their specific use and thus may or may not be of importance to you. This subsection will fill you in on what currencies are available and what they are for, so that you'll know which are important to your playstyle.
Note: Trading across gamemodes is allowed, but trading across different servers (Including Jartex) is not allowed and will result in a punishable for 3rd Party Trading!

- Selling items for Pika gold on the auction house is possible, however, there is a gold tax of 5 Pika gold that's taken for each listing you make
- Can also be obtained from bug report acceptances, discord giveaways, or as a reward in seasonal lootboxes
Trading
The ability to trade is a core mechanic since it allows the safe transfer of goods and most currencies without the worry of scamming. Below is the trading menu that opens once a player accepts your trade request. (which can be sent via /trade <player>)
Gifting
Gifting system serves as a quick and safe way to send items to other players. While it has limitations, it can only send things that have an item form and does not require the other party to agree to it. It is their choice of course to accept it or not. it's important to note that you can still gift to offline players thus typos in the username you wish to gift to means losing your items. Spamming gifts to players is considered spamming commands and can get you punished.

Claiming system
The claiming system serves as an anti-grief measure to protect one's land and the things within that land (passive mobs, farms, builds, etc.). This section will cover the basics of claiming with a step-by-step guide with visuals.
Permissions unique to a subdivision can be assigned by simpll standing in the subdivision outlined in white wool and running the regular claim permission commands like /trust <player>.
You can find a much more detailed video guide on subdivisions and how to become a mayor HERE.
Chest privating
To private a chest, means that you and you alone can access the chest. It will ignore claim permissions meaning as long as you have the permission to build in a claim, you can private a chest within that claim and the claim owner will not be able to open or remove it. This has griefing implications which can get you punished. If you are the victim of this, make a support ticket HERE so that a staff member can remove it.

- The first step is obtaining a golden shovel either by crafting one or through /kits starter. You cannot make claims without it.
- Choose an area you want to claim and make sure that you have enough claim blocks to do so.
- Either run /claim while holding the golden shovel or select the corners manually with the shovel. See below:
- After creating your claim, you can use the shovel to select the golden corners to resize it however you want. See below:
- Alternative resizing option is to use /extendclaim which will extend the claim in the direction you are facing by a specified number of blocks.
- Congratulations, you have made a claim.

- While holding a sign, look at a chest and shift-right click it.
- Type out [private] onto the sign and exit.
- Sign should change to indicate that it has privated the chest with your username on it.
Playershops
This system allows players to create what's essentially automatic trading where buyers or sellers can interact with the playershop to either sell or buy the item it's set to. Here you'll learn how to set a playershop up and how to use them.
Setting shops up is similar to privating a chest. Hold a sign and while aiming at a chest, shift-right click it. Type "[shop]" onto the sign and you have made a shop. Below is the menus that you may have to navigate.
Playerwarps
Playerwarps are public warps that anyone can set up and teleport to. They are relatively easy to set up but non-ranks can only set up one playerwarp before needing a rank or playerwarp token. These tokens can be bought from /goldshop or by having Alchemist (+1 playerwarp token) or Noble rank (+1 playerwarp token) with a maximum of 3 without buying any from goldshop.
You set a playerwarp with /setplayerwarp <name of pw>.
