Nuclear TNT is one of BedWars' best rotational items.

I wanted to make this post both a small appreciation post and a quick guide for anyone who hasn't fully tested it yet.

How it works:
Nuclear TNT costs 4 emeralds and can only be bought once. When placed, it looks like normal TNT at first. After around 4 seconds, it visually explodes and disappears, but the actual effect happens about 2 seconds later. After that delay, it destroys blocks in a roughly 10x10x10 area.

The damage itself is not crazy. From testing, it does around 2.5 hearts to a player in iron armor. The real strength is the knockback. If someone is standing right on top of it, they can get launched about 10 blocks, which can easily throw them off the island or cause fall damage after the explosion.

Why it feels balanced:
At first, 4 emeralds for a one-time-use item sounds expensive, and it is. But that is honestly what makes it fair. If this item were cheaper or reusable, it would probably be too much. Since you only get one shot with it, you still have to use it smartly and only when you really need it.

It also has a delay, so players who understand how it works can react to it. The funny part is that a lot of people think it is just normal TNT, or they get confused when it disappears, only for the actual nuke effect to hit a couple of seconds later.

Where it is useful:
This item is perfect against teams that over-defend their bed with several layers, especially when they stack obsidian/blastproof glass, camp with bows, or make it almost impossible to touch their defense normally.

For example, imagine a team with a huge bed defense, multiple players sitting at base with punch bows, and your teammates taking most of your generator resources (as teammates do). You can buy a Nuclear TNT, a jump potion, and maybe a bridge egg. Bridge over their base, drop the nuke anywhere on the defense, wait for the effect, then go in for the bed while everyone is either knocked away, confused, or trying to figure out where the TNT went.

It creates actual playmaking opportunities instead of just making fights longer and more defensive.

Final thoughts:
Please do not nerf this item too hard. It is strong, but it feels strong in a fun way, not in an unfair way. The cost, one-time purchase limit, and delay already keep it from being spammed.

Nuke TNT adds a really fun way to deal with over-defended beds, making BedWars feel more exciting when it appears in rotation.

Overall rating: 67/10 rotational item.
