Suggestion:
Combat Grace buff to end spawn-camping.
Detailed description:
Hello PikaNetwork Staff and Community,
I am writing this suggestion to address one of the most frustrating issues currently affecting WildKits PvP: spawn camping. Right now, highly geared players and large clans stand directly underneath the safe-zone drop points. The moment an under-geared or solo player jumps down into the active arena, they get instantly targeted and killed before they even have a chance to move, run, or properly load into the chunks.
To fix this issue and give every player a fair start when entering the arena, I suggest adding a Combat Grace mechanic.
How it works:
I am writing this suggestion to address one of the most frustrating issues currently affecting WildKits PvP: spawn camping. Right now, highly geared players and large clans stand directly underneath the safe-zone drop points. The moment an under-geared or solo player jumps down into the active arena, they get instantly targeted and killed before they even have a chance to move, run, or properly load into the chunks.
To fix this issue and give every player a fair start when entering the arena, I suggest adding a Combat Grace mechanic.
How it works:
- When a player jumps down from the safe-zone ledge into the active PvP arena, they should be given a brief 3 to 5-second grace period.
- During these few seconds, the player receives a temporary Speed buff and Invincibility (no-damage) status.
- This protection immediately cancels the second the player hits another user, ensuring it cannot be abused to get a free first hit on an enemy.
Reason(s):
Why this should be added:
- Gives players a fighting chance: It prevents massive teams from camping the drop zones and wiping out casual players instantly.
- Reduces frustration: New or solo players won't rage-quit after losing their gear sets immediately upon dropping down.
- Encourages map exploration: It forces players to actually run out into the map to find fights, instead of just sitting at the spawn line all day for cheap kills.
Example(s):
Hypothetical Gameplay Scenario:
- A player spawns at the top safe zone and jumps down into the active WildKits PvP arena.
- A clan of 4 players is standing at the bottom of the drop, waiting to instantly kill anyone who jumps down.
- The jumping player lands. Instead of dying instantly, a chat message appears: "You have 5 seconds of Combat Grace". They also receive Speed II and temporary invincibility.
- The player uses those 5 seconds to successfully run away from the drop point and navigate into the map to find a fair 1v1 fight.
- If the player tries to hit one of the spawn campers before the 5 seconds are up, their invincibility immediately turns off so they cannot abuse it.
