There's plenty of evidence of x-ray use on the main survival worlds. Most caves +- 3000 blocks from 0, 0, 0 have tunnels like "ant paths" that can be followed underground, clearly from someone peeking from the bottom...
Of course they can't all be blamed on "genius hacker younger sister to a 7th grader", but she wasn't the first and won't be the last to try.
