Hello, dear players of PikaNetwork,

A new year means new resets, and I am happy to announce that the newest Survival reset is coming to you this week! A new Minecraft version has been released recently, which means a new survival reset was bound to happen.

We are ready to release a brand new survival season, this season will be in version 1.18.
After a lot of work, we finally managed to make it possible for us to run 1.18 with a smooth experience. Not only have we updated everything to 1.18 we also introduce some rebalances, new features, and needed changes that are requested!

We hope you enjoy all the new content that has been added with the latest 1.18 update.

Changelog​

Here is your list of changes for this reset. I'd recommend giving it a good read-over to make sure you're familiar with everything you're going to see.​

Updated! Server's version to 1.18​

​

As you all know survival has been one of the most intensive gamemodes to run, so this reset has taken us quite some time to fully optimize it for the latest versions. We will still be operating on our multiple server system, but some overall changes have been made to this. It should now run more smoothly, and you will now no longer experience any issues regarding the data that has to be synchronized between the different survival worlds.​

​

You will now be able to enjoy all of the newest blocks, mobs, and features that have been added within the latest update, this update adds the brand new caves & mountain generations. Giving you the tallest mountains, and deepest caves. Dive into a lush cave, dripstone cave, or climb on top of the highest mountains.​

A reset was needed to update all the worlds with the brand new generated worlds.​

New! World & Chunk Optimization​

​

Many of you will not notice this, but this is worth being mentioned as it has taken us quite the time to make this possible. At PikaNetwork we will now be running our own system to save worlds in a far better way than the default servers software offer you us.​

​

This little tool that we created for us, is called Koala, because who doesn't love them. As a player, you will not notice that much about this, but this allowed us to give you the following noticeable changes:​

​

• Bigger worlds.
• More worlds.
• Faster reboot times.

This new and improved way of saving worlds and chunks will gain us a lot of extra performance boost on our survival worlds.​

For those who are into numbers, we managed to make the size of the world's files be cut in a bit over half, a world previously being 10GB will now be less than 5GB!​

New! Spawn​

​

This season will ofcourse not be without a new spawn. We have updated our spawn, added some of the new 1.18 blocks, and made everything look prettier.​

We also made the required adjustments for the PvP-arena to give you all the better experience when fighting other players.​

​

Around spawn you will find numerous NPCs with useful tools & information, so make sure to explore around spawn.​

​

New! Player Warps​

​

Survival is all about creating your own masterpiece. But what is the fun in that if there is nobody to show it to?​

This season we will be adding your own player warps that you can set. These warps will be accessible by all the players and will be viewed within a pretty GUI where you can browse through all the available player warps.​

​

Use your Player Warp tokens to set a warp, and access other player warps using the /playerwarps command.​

These player warps will ofcourse be safe to be teleported to, warps that have an unsafe location will not be able to be teleported to.​

​

New! Pets​

​

You will never feel alone with these little buddies next to your side. Collect pets' eggs & hatch them to get a random tier pet. Every pet will give you a different boost, the higher the tier the better! Pets will for example have a chance to increase your experience earned, give you extra money while selling, or help you out in PvP!​

​

These pets can be obtained from the Zoo Keeper at spawn, this NPC will be available on the weekends to sell 3 random eggs every weekend. But make sure to be there on time with enough money, experience & special items, as the Zoo Keeper has a limited stock, and each pet has its own price to pay.​

​

These pets will be added with this new season:​

​

Lion Pet - The Lion Pet will help you fight off mobs and players by deflecting the damage you receive back upon them.​

Cat Pet - If a creeper explodes nearby you, it will not do any damage to you or to the blocks around you, as your cat scared it away.​

Beaver Pet - Time to chop some logs, this Beaver will help you find some extra logs when chopping them.​

Goblin Pet - Ready to mine? This Goblin will help you find some extra valuable resources when you are mining ores.​

Monkey Pet - A little buddy stealing some items from the busy market. You will make some extra money on the black market with this little guy.​

New! Cosmetics​

We added some cosmetics that you can purchase in-game as well, to spice it up even more. The following category of cosmetics is now available:​

Kill Sound Effects​

Upon killing a player a sound-effect in that area will play. You can have all different types of sounds selected when you kill a player.​

​

Projectile Trails​

Projectiles you throw and shoot will be followed by a particle. These particles come in all types and colors.​

​

Kill Messages​

Chat Colors​

These two were already added before but they have been placed under the cosmetics category as well to make everything more in one line.​

New! Gold Currency​

Gold is the global currency of PikaNetwork, and will now also be available at the Survival server.​

From now on, you will be able to buy things directly inside the server at the new Store NPC. Instead of making transactions on the Webstore, all you need to do is transfer funds from the Webstore to the in-game store, and you are set - that is, until you spend it all! Found on our current Webstore at store.pika-network.net, you will be able to purchase Gold to be used in the In-Game Store.​

You can purchase Crate Keys, as well as Perks in-game in the /goldshop.​

Updated! Worlds​

As mentioned before, with our new world optimization we were able to scale up survival and added another world. Survival will now have 4 survival worlds, 1 resource world & 1 spawn world. And of-course 1 end world.​

Spawn World​

Browse through player shops, view the leaderboards, and find useful NPCs providing you needed information & features.​

​

Resource World​

A world perfect for mining, this world will reset every week so we do not recommend you to build your house in here, as it will be gone the next Sunday.​

​

Red World​

Blue World​

Yellow World​

Green World​

Which of these worlds will be your new home? All of these worlds will have the same size, but a different seed, make sure to explore the wonders of each world before you decide which one you want to live in. In each world you will be able to own, or join a different clan, so you can even start a village in all 4 of these words.​

​

End World​

Accessible when you reach a certain player level, beat the dragon, obtain a Dragon Summoner and start the grind of the dragons.​

​

Updated! Blackmarket & Travel merchant​

​

We have made sure to update the Blackmarket, as well as the Travel merchant. This is due to the high potential these two features have, therefore we wanted to exploit its potential to give you all a better experience. Within this new update, we have added new items and removed some old unused ones. ​

​

This should make it a bit more easy for everyone to be able to make some extra money at the start and keep growing as you progress your economy.​

​

Updated! Player Levels​

This season we took the time to improve the player levels, to be more challenging, but also more rewarding. ​

The player levels will now start off a bit easier, but the further you go the harder it gets, but this also makes it worth the grind as we have buffed the rewards for all the levels that are harder to accomplish. On top of that, we tried to make the levels a bit more unique, rather than having to do the same tasks over and over again.​

​

Will you be the first player to reach level 100 this season?​

Selling items to players is important, so we have made some needed adjustments to the player shop system. Here is what we have changed:​

​

• Fixed shops not being advertised after a server reboot.
• Added all-new 1.18 items to the player shops.
• Fixed the safe teleport location for player shops
• Fixed not being able to edit shop prices when you are muted.

This should make shopping from players a better experience, so start your new shopping mall and become the richest survival player.​

Misc. Updates & Changes​

​

Multiple small changes have been made, some of these small changes are the following:​

• Updated all of the plugins.
• Fixed resource world nether resetting.
• Added back banknotes.
• Added back physical keys.
• Changed dragon summoner item to not be an end portal.
• Fixed [item] in chat.
• Fixed voting.
• Disabled boat placing in End world.
• Added a new seasonal crate.
• Fix Clan being removed by server.
• Updated in-game broadcasts to be up-to-date with the new season.
• Added scrolls such as block tracker, mob tracker, etc.
• Fixed being able to kill mobs & animals in player their claims.
• Enabled the wither.
• Fixed a lag spike issue with player heads.
• Added voucher confirmation menu.
• Fixed leaderboards not properly being displayed.

Why did survival reset?​

​

Survival just needed a reset, ita new version of Minecraft has been released, so survival should be updated to that version too. But in order to do that a full reset is required.​

​

This means all claims, items, money and the map will be reset. Nothing will be kept leftover from the previous map. Of course, all purchases will be reissued so nobody will be out of pocket in that regard. I know this must be a disappointing revelation for a lot of you, but think about the exciting new changes, the new alliances you can forge, the new map, the new features, and updates the different kinds of gameplay and style being provided with this update will surely make it a worth-while and exciting reset!​

Hey soo...Really excited abt the update just 1 thing I'd like to recommend as a change is that please let us change the villager professions again and not lock them once they take up a job...I don't why it was removed abt 2 seasons ago but yeah ig allowing us to change the villager professions would help everyone out a lot

I wish you add anti cheat plugins to stop player hacking and other player getting unfair I think this season can be a epic reset of new latest version of Minecraft 1.18
