As a java developer I think that this is a bug from the FeatherBoard or any other Plugin they are using for scoreboard. Make sure that the count is saved at the server files. You can just make a bug report Here and a staff member will reply as fast as possible.

As a java developer you should note that it has nothing to do with FeatherBoard. FeatherBoard does update every few seconds, so it has to be a problem with the database system & the server does not save the count in the server files using yml or anything. They use databases.
