I see a lot of people struggle with their spawn blocks... placing them and then mining them just to find out what they are, or putting them in auction so the auction tool will tell them.
Here is another way:
Take the spawner in your hand, then write /iteminfo.
It will return a name in chat, looking like 52:xx
the xx represents your spawner type; here is a shortlist:
61#y Blaze
58 Enderman
57 Pigman
12 Villager
51 Skelly
50 Creeper
54 Zombie
99 Iron gollum
You remember those numbers, it's easier not to get scammed, and easier to check on what you got !!
