I don't know, where to put this thread. So I'm posting it here.
So I went to Creative 1.9, and suddenly my chat started talking by itself.
It suddenly started swearing and said 'I am not fine' 'I tell on pple' 'f***!'
I disconnected, as I thought it probably would start telling Ip addresses.
Then I went to my brother's account- same thing heppens.
I'm not lying, it is true. Please look into this matter. I wouldn't like to be punished for what I didn't do.

Uh dude it means someone is impersonating you using /nick, I do this with Fanta and used to play around with it with CloudAP, I would know lmao.
(And sorry for that day, @MrBas666 ;( I got bored.)

So if you have a custom nickname, someone can copy it.
If you have your nickname differently coloured but it's your IGN then nobody will be able to forge it.

It depends on the ranks though. They switch out of your nickname fast, so it's hard to tell who it is if there's a bunch of Trainee's on.

This is simple. Do /realname <the correct /nick of the person faking you> report the name with a screenshot and the text with a screenshot and then just wait. They'll get warned, not banned, don't choose the punishment they need to get.
