OpFactions - PikaNetwork 2022

As the season has come to an end it is time to continue the cycle with another OpFactions reset. It is time for another season for top factions to compete against eachother.
We will be focussing on improving the existing gameplay and properly introducing the new and improved factions jar.
Last season we promised a new and updated jar, but this only got implemented very late in to the season and required some extra tweaking, we took and now we can release the next season with this new server jar.
Below you can find most of the changes we have made and what has been added, I’m sure I forgot to mention it all but I’m sure giving it a good read over you will be familiar with most you're going to see. If there is however still something you want changing, feel free to mention it on this thread before its release, we can still consider making the change.

End of the world
To celebrate the end of the season, we will be hosting an end-of-season event. At around 3 days before the release, we will be placing reset signs at spawn which you can click and claim a number of rewards; Free items, Free gkits, Millions of in-game money, Tons of free experience to level up your overpowered armor. Everyone will be able to finish their rank-ups because you can get everything for free. You can fight with everyone without the fear of losing your gear you have weeks to gather. So clearly this is the event everyone should participate in! Hop on OpFactions and have fun!
Changelog
The most important features/modifications implemented towards this season's map and functions are the following.
Payouts! Faction Top Rewards
This new season of OpFactions we will have bi-weekly rewards for the top factions! This will go on until the end of the season which will last exactly 7 weeks or 49 days and end with the final payout. View all the dates in the /payouts menu.
End of the season rewards
First place: $350 USD PayPal and €500 worth of Iron currency.
Second place: $150 USD PayPal and €350 worth of Iron currency.
Third place: €250 worth of Iron currency.
Bi-weekly rewards
First place: €75 worth of Iron currency.
Second place: €50 worth of Iron currency.
Third place: €25 worth of Iron currency.
New! Spawn
It is time for a new season, and what better way to do that than with a brand new spawn. Like every season the spawn will be filled with information & features, here is a list of the things you can find around spawn.
A new spawn with a tropical jungle theme.
The spawn contains multiple KOTHs again.
Looking for some help? There are plenty of NPCs explaining all the features.
Supply drops can be found all around the warzone, this season with more drops at once.
A new seasonal crate has been added again.
Updated! Worlds
As every season needs a spawn we will also need some worlds for you to start your base in. There will be an overworld and an end world like all seasons, and worlds themed to the worlds fitting for this reset.
There will be a total of 20 corners, these being the following
OverWorld (/spawn)
The border for the overworld will be 10,000 x 10,000 (-5,000 to 5,000) - The spawn is located in the middle.
KOTHs will be located at each side of /spawn close to it.
The End (/warp end)
The border for the end world will be 10,000 x 10,000 (-5,000 to 5,000) - The warp is located in the middle.
Flat sandstone will be placed from Y:1 to Y:30.
This warp counts with 1 KOTH.
Jungle World (/warp jungle)
The border for the jungle world will be 7,500 x 7,500 (-3,750 to 3,750) - The warp is located in the middle.
Flat green clay will be placed from Y:1 to Y:30.
An outpost will be located within this world.
Desert World (/warp desert)
The border for the desert world will be 7,500 x 7,500 (-3,750 to 3,750) - The warp is located in the middle.
Flat yellow clay will be placed from Y:1 to Y:30.
This warp contains 1 KOTH.
Snow World (/warp Snow)
The border for the snow world will be 7,500 x 7,500 (-3,750 to 3,750) The warp is located in the middle.
Flat Snow will be placed from Y:1 to Y:30.
This warp contains 1 KOTH.
New! Server Jar
Previous season we also promised a new server jar, however we sadly ran in to many unforseen issues that were happening as soon as we released the last season. After being in contact back-and-forth with the development team that created this jar we finally managed to squeeze out all the issues.
The last 3 weeks of the previous jar have been running with the new jar, and all the reported issues have been fixed so we are confident in a proper release with this newly improved jar.
What does this new jar mean?
Improved Cannoning
More advanced cannons should now also work properly in the next season. If you come across any issues please report it to us with the schematic of the used cannon.
Faster printer
Printer has never been this fast, blazing speed, and all blocks that you need will now work within printer mode.
Less lagg while cannoning
FPS optimizations
These two are self explanatory, you will have less FPS drops from TNT shooting, and cannoning is less intensive for the server now as well.
New! Gen Blocks
One of the features so frequently suggested that we can no longer ignore it. This season we will be adding Gen Blocks to OpFactions.
You can purchase a genblock from the /shop, where it will act as a normal genbucket, but instead it is an enchanted block, this allows you to print walls with a genblock as well when there is one in your inventory.
On top of that we also added horizontal psuedo buckets for all of the available psuedo genbuckets.
New! Item Flip
The item casino is making it's opening and it is ran by you, the players. You will be able to gamble a set of items against a player of your choice.
Item Flip (/itemflip)
With the /itemflip you will be able to wager your most worthy item. Send an invite to a player, put in the items you both want to wager, accept the bet and lets flip the coin.
New! Infinite Chests
OpFactions has always been about having a bunch of spawners, which resulted in to players having over 200k chests per chunk, which is just way too much. The community came up with a solution and we decided it is a good thing to implement for this season; Infinite Chests.
You can place 1 Infinite Chest per chunk, and this chest can be upgraded with in-game money. Purchasing an infinite chest is not like other gamemodes, the infinite chest is a chest that you bought from the /shop with in-game money as well. This should make it a bit more fun to play, and encourage people to do other things as well, like capturing KOTHs or Outposts, as you now will not lose that much time on selling chests anymore. In the Infinite Chest you will have to select which items it will pickup, and after selecting the chest will collect all drops in that chunk.
However, to make things not too easy for everyone we decided that this Infinite Chest (or iChest for short) should have some upgrades, to make it better the more you progress.
The following things can be upgraded:
Sell Timer - The time you need to wait between selling from this ichest. The higher the Sell Timer level, the lower the wait between selling.
Storage - The maximum amount of items being able to be stored in the ichest. Starting at 30,000 at level 1.
Slots - The maximum amount of items this ichest can pickup. Starting at 4 at level 1.
Each upgrade will have a small upgrade timer.
Updated! Enchantments
Another well requested feature has been to update the enchanter. So for this season we will be making a slight change to how the enchanter works. You will now have 2 different enchantment categories that you can purchase from.
Enchantments
The normal vanilla minecraft enchantments. These mystery enchantment books can be purchased for 15,000 experience each, and you will be able to unlock all enchants with all levels with one tier.
Custom Enchantments
The custom enchantments that were added in previous seasons, these books will cost 30,000 experience in total per book and will only contain one random custom enchantment.
Updated! Outposts
Now that there is more time left to get out there and PVP with the fast way of selling items, it is time to capture the outpost, and the outpost will have even better rewards this season.

Updated! Raiding
With the new jar comes new improvements to raiding. We have made some changes that were suggested by the community.
Updated Faction Shield logic - You can no longer cannon from anything besides a raid, side counter or barrel claim. TNT will not work properly when shot from a normal claim, this should prevent the issue of people raiding while on shield not occur. We also fixed that the shield only works on normal / base claims, all other claims are not protected by your faction shield.
Decreased obsidian durability - This got suggested by the community, so we decided to give it a try, obsidian will now have 3 durability instead of 4.
Cooldown after raiding - The cooldown of claiming raid claims starts a little while after you started claiming
Updated! Faction Roam
Roam will finally be enabled, and now with a proper implementation. We are sorry for the inconvience caused with the roaming feature but we are happy to say that roam will now make a return on OpFactions.
Armor is allowed - You will now be able to enter roam while wearing armor, however your regular inventory is still required to be empty.
Fixes with teleporting - You are no longer able to teleport in any way possible while in roaming mode.
Roam Timer - Once you start roaming you have 120 seconds to roam around, then your roaming mode will be disabled. After the session you will have a small cooldown to roam again.
Updated! Player Levels
The player levels have received one big update as well, the rewards have been slightly tweaked, the premium rewards have been added for every level and we have decided to clean up the menu as well.
The new player level GUI will show you more info about the levels and will give you a quick and easy overview of Premium Rewards that you can obtain for each level, the new GUI will give you more of a progressive feeling rather than a bunch of glass panes in a menu.
Brand new bracket colors
To show off your premium level pass even more we added new bracket colors that you unlock every 7 levels, you will now be able to show off your level in even more style.
Fixed! Bugs
We did our best to polish and fix as many existing bugs inside the OpFactions server. We have looked through all the bug reports and managed to fix them. If you come across any bug with the new release, make sure to report them at our forums under the bug reports section.
Here are a few of the bugs we squished out:
- Fixed being false kicked for phasing
- Fixed faction experience perk not working
- Fixed printer not printing fast enough
- Fixed issues with phasing
- Fixed infinite buckets charging when they couldn't place
- Fixed sandbots not being refunded on unclaiming
- and many more.
Misc. Updates and changes.
After receiving some suggestions about modifying a couple of things, we have decided to make the following modifications in order to make everyone's Factions experience much better. We have modified a few features which were present on the previous map, and here is the list including those modifications, along with a justification for the majority:
- Updated all plugins
- Updated /payouts menu
- Added extra rewards for #2 faction
- Made /f perms available from the start
- Doubled the tokens from mission rewards
- Added /mobcoinswithdraw
- Changed rotational transfer shop items
- Added koth menu
- Allow muted people to deposit to the sandbot (just don't get muted next time )

Question and Answers
Why does OpFactions reset?
OpFactions is already up for some time. A reset has to happen to change and improve with new features, to make the game more exciting for you all! This then allows you players to have a fresh start and new players can begin to play without any significant disadvantage.
This means all items, money, and the map will be reset. Nothing will be kept leftover from the previous map. I know this must be a disappointing revelation for a lot of you, but think about the exciting new changes, the new alliances you can forge, the new map, the new features and updates the different kinds of gameplay, and style is provided with this update will surely make it a worth-while and exciting reset!
