"Alphanumeric" Nick Problem

So I am VIP and have access to /nick. However, when I was trying to use the &k in my nickname, it said " Nicknames must be alphanumeric." Since other donators can use the &k without the problem, I believe this is a glitch. &k makes random characters by the way.

Vip can't use &k in their name... it is not a glitch..

To clarify only Skylord+ can use &k just like Vip can't mine spawners and Skylord+ can

&k is not for VIP u can u se it when u are skylord or higher
