The thing I don't understand is I got like 300 ping and I click around 14 to 18 cps butterfly. My hits don't register as much as I would prefer. I use Silent client. I would understand if this was a ping issue, but I've seen people with Titan, Elite and VIP rank without this problem. I am pretty sure they have the same ping as me. I never get the first hit. I am aware about hit cooldown in 1.8.9. They also have better reach than me. Can someone please help with my understandings or misunderstandings.

Oh I will give it a try for sure thanks
Bro, it's not the server problem.
Maybe your clients
and there is no combat advantage for ranked players
And bro, I also play on 300 ms, and it's true that we don't get that first hit advantage. T_T
And please use below 15 CPS, please, to avoid bans even if you click manually

Even if you're clicking 14 to 18 CPS, you'll generally get far fewer actual damage registrations because repeated attacks aren't automatically converted 1:1 into damage.
  • 6-8 CPS: perfectly usable, easier to control
  • 8–12 CPS: ⭐ sweet spot for most players
  • 12–15 CPS: can help with certain techniques, but diminishing returns
  • 15–20+ CPS: usually little practical benefit for normal sword fighting; more chance of inconsistent registration/detection

What's your recommendation? I have a other questions too. Since you also play on high ping. What should we do when we face off players who combos us. My hits aren't registering while their every hit registers. Any counters? I know it's not CPS related but I wanted to know.

I'd honestly recommend adapting your playstyle rather than trying to fix it with CPS.

When someone gets a combo on you, don't keep running straight at them and spam clicking. Your hits can feel delayed because of the latency, so by the time the server receives your attack, they've already moved out of the position you aimed at.

A few things that helped me:
  • Strafe unpredictably rather than holding W + straight-line movement. Make it harder for them to maintain their aim.
  • If you're getting comboed, reset the fight if possible. Block-hit, move sideways/back, or create a little distance instead of continuously trying to hit through the combo. What I do is take off the crosshair from them
  • Don't chase someone who's already comboing you. Sometimes backing off for a moment and re-engaging is better than feeding them more hits.
  • Aim slightly more carefully and focus on where they're going to be, not just where they are on your screen.
  • Around 8–12 CPS is already enough for normal sword PvP. At 300 ms, increasing CPS won't magically make the server register every click.

Basically, with 300 ping you can't completely remove the disadvantage, but you can play around with it. Positioning and avoiding prolonged trades is probably the biggest thing I'd focus on.

Also learn some basic 1.8.9 movement tricks like W-tapping, S-tapping and strafing. W-tapping is basically letting go of W for a split second after you hit someone, then pressing it again. It helps reset your sprint so you can get better knockback and keep combos going. With high ping, timing these properly can help a lot more than just increasing CPS.

Hit Registration

300 ping can significantly affect hit registration due to latency and delayed server responses. Higher CPS doesn't guarantee more registered hits, and reach differences can be caused by positioning and timing.

Try checking your connection stability and aim. If the issue persists, consider reporting it with video evidence for further investigation.

Alright thanks for the help guys
