when i asked them about it all they said is "vanity" and proceeded to ignore me afterwards

You're most probably referring to the overlay. This overlay has been created by Vanity and for its users only. Ideally, what they do is type -stats (username), which gives their FKDR level, etc. I've seen many people using this, mainly alts.

It's vibe-coded using basically any AI model out there . At maximum, it takes around 10 minutes to build it . All you require is a good prompt for the build, and you're all set.

tell antigravity or claude your client version and build the jar mod using maven in intellijidea
use pika api its basically the same concept as the mod collecting stats we manually get using pika bots in discord just a bot fetching information
the main thing is timing if your overlay instantly shows player data then thats best, the greater the delay the worse the overlay
also you dont even have to code one from scratch you can use a prebuilt one like vendetta ares or bloodlust

There is also an injectable overlay that directly display stats in tab list and is public and source code avilable (supports various clients like badlion lunar forge vanilla cm labymod skyclient), while not a cheat, during a screen its highly likely to get you banned, but non-injectable overlays posses the same (but lower) risk. This one instanlty display the stats in tab list, as soon as you join a bedwars game, it typically has no delay of displaying stats even before you can open tab list all stats are loaded.
