Yes, schematica is allowed. And people build cannons with /printer.

Yes, schematic is allowed but only on Op Factions. We use schematics to print cannons and /printer makes it easy for us to do so.

Schematica isn't a command on Op Factions. It may be in Creative but in op factions you have to get the mods required for schematic. You can edit schematic settings from Controls. Just search Minecraft 1.8.9 Schematica Mods.
