It is finally time for our second season of SkyMines, so grab your pickaxe, and let's dig straight into it.
This second season we will be fine-tuning the existing features and adding some exciting new ones.

Changelog
The most important features/modifications implemented towards this season's map and functions are the following.

We have some exciting news about the new map for SkyMines!
This map is an improved version of the current one. The islands are now bigger, giving you more space to explore.
We’ve also made the spawn area larger, so there’s more room when you start the game, and more space for helpful NPCs explaining about all the features SkyMines has to offer,




For the next season of SkyMines, we’re introducing new generators that you can buy with beacons.
These generators will produce an ore every 30 seconds.
Each generator corresponds to a different type of ore that you can find on the map.

These generators will always produce items, even if you aren't on your island they will still produce items, but at a slower rate, which means as long as you are on your Island, or actively playing, these generators will allow you to make extra items, and therefore even more extra money.

Introducing the Island Competition, a new feature that keeps the excitement alive even after you've finished your initial grind.

To compete, you will need to mine and store beacons in your Island Crystals.
All the beacons inside the Island Crystal will count towards your value for the Island Top Competition.

Island Beacons add a competitive edge to the game. Unlike other features, Island Beacons don’t reset.
Your total number of beacons will always contribute to your ranking on the /is top list.
The top-performing islands will be rewarded with a special prize known as Jartex Iron.
In short, Island Beacons introduces an extra layer of competition and motivation, allowing players to showcase their progress and compete for recognition and rewards, making the gameplay more dynamic and engaging.

These payouts will be automatically given to the Island Leader. It's their responsibility. After every payout the prize increased.

A new mechanic is coming to SkyMines: fishing!
Fish are now swimming around in ponds scattered across the map, adding a fresh way to engage with the game.

When you catch a fish, you'll need to reel it in by clicking enough to build up the power in your pull.
Once you’ve successfully caught the fish, you’ll either get a fish that you can sell or have a small chance to obtain a valuable consumable item.
Those items are:
Sugar Boost.
Haste Boost.
Slime Boost.

Next to consumables dropping from fish, you can also use the Fish you earn in the Fish Shop to buy boosters to boost the amount of Beacons you earn.

Introducing the new collections system in SkyMines!
Every ore now has its own collection, which unlocks a variety of rewards, including new enchants and extra boosts. As you progress and upgrade these collections, you’ll earn even more powerful boosts that will enhance your gameplay.

To level-up a collection, simply mine the ore that represents that collection, mining them will automatically count your progress towards the collection.
It's essential to keep upgrading your collections to maximize your advantages and make your island stronger.

We're super happy to share a big update: our new Quest Level system!
This new system combines the best parts of Player Levels and Quests.

Now, you'll love what we brought back from Player Levels
You get a new thing called Quest Level. It goes up when you finish quests, which start on their own now - no need to buy them.
Every quest you complete gives you Quest Experience, bumping up your Quest Level, kind of like the old player levels.

The higher your level, the harder your quests will be.
These quests will scale with you as a player, and the requirement to complete a quest will be harder and harder as you rise through the levels. This ensures that there is always a constant challenge waiting for you.

By leveling up you can reach certain level milestones, these milestones will give you rewards.
The higher the milestone you have reached, the better the rewards will be.

Introducing Compress Tables in SkyMines!
You can now simply and quickly compress your ores with the press of a button at the Compress Tables, which are spread across all the worlds.
This new feature makes it easier than ever to manage your resources efficiently, saving you time and effort as you play.

We're happy to announce a new feature that simplifies selling items in the game.
To sell items, just type /sell into the game.
This command will open a special menu that looks like a screen.
Here, you can place the items you want to sell.
After you put the items in the menu and close it, the game will automatically sell those items for you.
The money from the sale will be added to your account immediately.

Here are three new scrolls in SkyMines that will help you track your stats and protect your items.
You can apply these scrolls to your tools or weapons:

This scroll keeps track of how many enemies you’ve defeated with your weapon. It shows you how powerful you are in combat. | This scroll counts the number of blocks you’ve mined with your pickaxe. It lets you see how much you’ve accomplished while mining. | This scroll protects your items if you die. When you use it, the item it’s applied to will return to you after you fall in battle, so you don’t lose it. |
These scrolls are great tools to help you keep track of your progress and protect your valuable items in SkyMines.

We've made some updates to the passive mode system.

When you're in passive mode and use the /passive command, it will now show you how much time you have left in passive mode. If you're not in passive mode, the command will tell you how long you have to wait before you can activate it again.

We have reduced the timer for passive mode, to last 2 hours instead of 3 hours.
Allowing for more frequent action to happen in PvP.

We've added a brand new purpose to beacons, and have made them easier to use.
The beacons you mine are now a virtual currency in the game.
You can use these beacons to purchase generators, which help you gather resources faster, and to compete in the Island Top rankings.
Collecting and spending beacons strategically will be key to dominating the leaderboard and enhancing your island.

We've added a new feature to SkyMines that will make selling your resources even easier.

You can now sell your compressed ores and blocks directly in the shop.
This new addition allows you to quickly and efficiently exchange your hard-earned resources for rewards, making your gameplay smoother and more convenient.

We did our best to polish and fix as many existing bugs inside the OpFactions server. We have looked through all the bug reports and managed to fix them.
If you come across any bugs with the new release, make sure to report them at our forums under the bug reports section.
Here are a few of the bugs we squished out:
- Fixed being able to open shops in combat.
- Fixed chat colors not working.
- Fixed Grand being able to use /fix.
- Fixed being able to use /fix in combat.
- Fixed coinflip W/L ratio not updating.
- Fixed not being able to apply enchantment books.
- Fixed ranks missing some perks.
- Fixed being able to create a CoinFlip for 0.
- Fixed losing haste boost when you open your inventory.
- ...and much more

Multiple small changes have been made, some of these small changes are the following:
- Updated Pricing for upgrades, Crystal effects and Enchants.
- Updated Supply drops loot table.
- Rebalanced some of the classes.
- Updated the seasonal crate.
- Added more chat colors.
- Added more nick colors.
- Disabled being able to craft netherite ingots.
- Updated the Island Menu.
- Added /payouts menu
- Made it so you do not lose hunger in spawn world, besides the PvP arenas.
- ...and much more.
