Skyblock Spawners rules

Hello, I'm still new to the server and I am very lost on how the spawners work, I've asked and looked though the forum for hours trying to find the rules on what each spawner needs to work, everytime I get a spawner I have to keep testing and wasting time and money to know how they work, but the higher and more expensive they get the less I can keep testing, all I know now is farm mobs spawn on grass and some in the dark and seem to only work at night.
I hope someone with the knowledge can post the conditions for each spawner or maybe the info can be added to the server at some point because there is no way to know otherwise (losing a dolphine spawner broke me)

Mobs can always spawn. For the animals just add light and for the hostile mobs just use a stained glass box.

When will you be online? I don’t mind showing you a working design for some mobs.

for the dolphine for exaple it didn't work and I was told it has to be on Y63, I'm not sure if everything has a special condition or not, also I'm online right now and for a couple of hours after

make a 5x5x5 box and under y30 in complete darkness for a glow squid, also just place a stone block on the bottom *just incase*
