Detailed description:

This channel brings log(s) of the punishments issued on the discord server, whenever someone is punished for any reason we will be able to see it.​

Reason(s):

Here are a couple of reasons I think this idea would benefit:

- Able to view the people who were punished
This would help the community and the staff team to see which people have been punished, it would be a great
alternative to check if the player has been punished while submitting a Trial Application, other than their /hist.

- Able to check when a player is punished

I think anyone in the community would like to see if their "targeted" player has been punished by clicking one channel, the reason for their punishment and how long will it be, in other words, we would have validation of which player has been punished, without having to find for their names on the server to check whether they have been punished or not or simply trying to find the punishment

- A better understanding of the rules

With the punishments, some of us would find information in it, reading the rules is a very good way to make sure you're up to date with them, however seeing them in practice make(s) us more secure of what is punishable and what is not, furthermore new people tend to ignore the simple things, being able to view #punishment_logs would give them an extra way of feeling safe while viewing the channel and checking how long has a player been punished for, the reason and much more for a player to find and learn.​

The idea itself is good, but the reasons you said are not convincing.

1. able to view who got punished
I honest dont see why normal players should know who got punished, its something thats really none of our business.

2. Able to check when a player is punished
its just the same thing as 1 but in another perspective.

3. A better understanding of the rule
It just feels like even there is a log, it would be like
"Noob123 has been banned permanently for blabla"
Dont really see how it would make you understand the rule better.

Regarding 1, with that kind of mindset, why Ban here on forums exists? Knowing who is banned might not be our business but being able to view them would make a difference in perspective + if someone doesn't wish to view them, they probably should make it a reaction role.

3, Yeah a better understanding of the rule to a new player I think it is reasonable enough, as a new player I would understand more if I could see someone got ` Banned for Advertising and its length` at least for me it makes me understand that advertising isn't allowed and that you get banned for it for the X time (not sure if discord and in-game lengths match.)

I feel like this thing already existed, but isn't open for public. Now I'm not part of the staff team so I can't say for sure, though I'm positive that they do have it except it's only accessible for staff members (or perhaps certain ranks of the staff team). Nonetheless, I do not see any convincing reason as to why this has to be made public (assuming what I said is true).
Although I doubt this, but if punishments log does not exist yet even for staff team, then they should probably make one.
In conclusion: -1 for me
