Suggestion:
Permanent Ban for 'aDvErTiSiNg'

Detailed description:
For some time now, the rule of mentioning a servers name has become bannable. For example, if a player says "Come to play.example.net for a good factions experience", they should be banned right? They are purposely trying to lore multiple players onto their server, intending to steal the networks players. Then there is someone saying - in an argument/trash talking with another player and they need to settle this so one player says "1v1 me on example" which is far different than the first example I used. In most cases the abbreviation of the server is used, for example 'mmc'.

This rule that's been implemented should be re-looked at and i'm sure many players will agree with me on this and if not removed then the punishments should be changed to a warn first so players actually know its not allowed. Most rules that are implemented on pika is kept lowkey and just updated on the forums and maybe even the discord. However, not everyone is active on those so not everyone will know. When a new rule is set in place it should be made pretty clear that its in place.

Being an experienced pvper and practice player, I can tell you that the practice on pika is terrible. The knockback is messed up and so is the hit detection. I also know how easy it is to fix both of those things as I have my own server in development with its own practice.

If players use the abbreviations of servers and the other player doesn't know what it is, then its most likely they dont know the server, but in most cases players are asking other players to 1v1 them on known servers, servers that are way bigger than Pika-Network. So they aren't stealing any players from pika if the servers already known. There are servers that are more PvP focused and a lot better to actually see who's the better player.

These players that are unintentionally 'advertising' are being permanently banned by staff and in order to come back, they must buy an unban for 30euros which is unfair.

I would have to say -1
I understand all of the points made to +1, and im tempted to agree, but then i think of new players.
When people first join, there is no way of them seeing the rules and the punishments for each rule.
What if you joined a new server, and lets say, you meant to pm someone but you forgot to do the / at begining and it went into public?
would you think it's fair to be auto perm banned?

opps, my bad.
I retract my statement.
Over the years, I've learned to judge a thread/suggestion by the title and that is what I did here.
I honestly glossed right over the now obvious sarcasm with the capital letters. I thought it was suggesting perm ban IF ADVERTISE.
Yeah, HUGEEEEEE -1

I am sorry, I assumed what the suggestion is about by reading title and before reading the whole suggestion.

The rule is encouraging people to play on another server , if you say to someone come play on 'oopdoopie' server , they are going to be encoruaged by you to go there and in effect your stealing a player from Pika to go to there. That's why advertising is banned because Pika don't want there players being stolen to other servers (think about it) , the principle is still the same.
You shouldn't encourage other people to leave Pika to go to another server.
Also I suggest if your playing Pika its essential you go and read the rules , a solution to a lot of issues might be to signpost the rules section more clearly by providing alerts ingame saying to check the rules regularly OR to have some sort of rules thing you have to read when you join the server.
Either way advertising is advertising and they're not just saying a server name.
I might change my opinion on this based on what others say , but those are just my thoughts :?
The first one you said is really on rule about advertising which is encouraging people to play on other server. But in different scenario like you want to 1v1 a player on other pvp server heres an example 'Lets 1v1 on mmc' that should not be punishable since its just the server name and not the server ip. if they would say the ip, it would really be punisheable for advertising. Thats just my thoughts too so..

I got banned for saying 'We can 1v1 on mmc'. I didn't even say the ip, only server name.

Don't reply to this because its just my thought about this server.

Yes, and its also for the sake of the server and also for other players getting false banned.

I don't understand this idea that you telling a player to go to another server and getting banned for it is somehow a "false ban". It's advertising, luring a player away one at a time. There isn't even a reason for it, since Pika does TECHNICALLY have a practice server for duels (I will not comment on the quality of said practice server)

I know, i just said server name and now im banned permanently on the server. I even made a ban appeal and they denied it. I only said server namr though, no ips included. That should not be considered as advertising. Pika rules are so damn $#!7

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion. We have just implemented a new light advertising rule for less heavy advertising offences. People who have been banned for advertising while they didn't share any IP addresses can appeal (also if their appeal has been denied in the past) to get repunished for light advertising.
