It is that time again, time for a new OpPrison reset! We are excited to announce that the new OpPrison reset is right around the corner and we have made some major changes to the core mechanics of the game.
We have taken the time to balance the base of the gamemode by going back to the roots, from rebalancing the mines as well as the enchantments and much more.

End of the world
We will be hosting an end-of-season event to celebrate the end of the season. At around 3 days before the release, we will be placing reset signs at spawn which you can click and claim a number of rewards; Free items, Free gkits, Millions of in-game money, Tons of free experience to level up your overpowered armor. Everyone will be able to finish their rank-ups because you can get everything for free. You can fight with everyone without the fear of losing your gear you have weeks to gather. So clearly this is the event everyone should participate in! Hop on OpPrison and have fun!
Changelog
The most important features/modifications implemented towards this season's map and functions are the following.
New! Spawn
As the holiday seasons are over it is time to say goodbye to our winter wonderland at OpPrison, but don't be sad, this season we are getting ready to party!
A new spawn with a disco theme.
Capture the outpost for some extra gifts.
Are you looking for some help? There are plenty of NPCs explaining all the features.
The PVP arena is filled with supply drops that you can capture.
A new seasonal crate has been added again.
New! Gang Top Rewards
Gather up, recruit only the best Prison players out there and start the grind for another season of Prison.
This new season of prison we will have biweekly rewards for the top gangs!
This will go on until the end of the season which will last exactly 6 weeks or 42 days. View all the dates in the /payouts menu.
End-of-the-season rewards
First place: €300 worth of Iron currency.
Second place: €250 worth of Iron currency.
Third place: €150 worth of Iron currency.
Bi-weekly rewards
First place: €75 worth of Iron currency.
Second place: €50 worth of Iron currency.
Third place: €25 worth of Iron currency.
New! Prison Prestige
The biggest change we will be making to OpPrison is going back to the roots of the gamemode. And after discussing this with some of our long-term players we noticed that with the change we made to prestiging the A-Z ranks are just something to exist, they don't add any value.
This is why we will be fully changing the way ranks and prestige work so that we can start fresh, and balance things out in great detail.
So let's get straight into the changes we will be making to the prison in-game ranks and prestige!
Removing A-Z ranks
We know, this might seem like a weird change, but we can assure you that this will put OpPrison in a much better position. It makes no sense that you go from letters, then to numbers, and the letter not having any extra value. Back when you had to grind the A-Z ladder again this system made sense, but now it's just 2 different in-game tiers showing off your skills, so we decided we are going to combine them and keep it called prestige, as people are familiar with this system. This means all the A-Z mines will be removed from the game as well. With all that being said we have modified the needed money for each prestige to properly represent the difficulty of reaching it, on top of that each prestige will still cost beacons, and the further you go the more it will cost. You can rank up (prestige) 1,000 times in total!
New prestige rewards
With this change, we also need to rebalance some of the rewards given with prestiging.
This is why we will be making the following changes to prestige rewards:
Sell multiplier: 0.05 per prestige.
Tokens reward: 2,500 tokens per prestige.
Gems reward: 25 tokens per prestige.
Prestige Keys: Every 5 prestiges.
New prestige mines
As prestiging is now the way to rank up we needed to add a bunch of new mines, instead of each prestige having its own mine you will now be grouped into a section of prestige with these mines. These mines will also have a complete new look to make things feel even better while mining!

Prestige colors
Prestige colors are unlocked for all players and are automatically applied when you reach a certain prestige.
You will need a Boss or GodFather rank to use prestige bracket colors.
You can win special prestige brackets from the seasonal crate.
New! Daily Frenzy
A brand new feature to reward active players is the Daily Frenzy. Every 6 hours a 1-hour long booster will be enabled to boost everyone even further.
These boosters will be active for 1 hour in total and will repeat 4 times each day, every day has a new special boost, so in order to benefit the most you should make sure that you are online on the days you are looking to grind a certain currency.

New! Boosters
With the new daily frenzy we will also be adding brand new boosters, that you, the player can obtain and activate.

New! Pickaxe Crate
All pickaxes from the unique and godly crate will be moved to this brand-new crate.
The reason for adding this is to prevent players with hundreds of key classes from winning lots of pickaxes and merchanting them all for easy tokens.
With this change, we hope to tune down the early games of people that are using classes to gain the keys. We feel like this will make OpPrison fairer for everyone to have the same start, no matter when they started playing or how many classes they have obtained over the past few years.
Updated! Private Mines
The Private Mines have been an essential part of OpPrison for quite some time, so we are making some much-needed changes. First I'd like to announce that claiming taxes will no longer be affected by boosters.
We know this might come as bad news for most players that utilize the private mines, but with the introduction of beacons and lucky blocks that can be upgraded we feel like these private mines have more than enough value on their own, and by making taxes being affected by boosters it has always spiked the economy by a bunch, and made the rich people richer than ever before, with this change we hope to tune down the growth of the economy during a season and are making things fairer for every player.
Next to the change of taxes and boosters, we will also be introducing the ability to upgrade your private mine size. Private mines will now come in 3 sizes, Small, Medium, and Large. You can unlock the Small private mine, simply by purchasing the private mine package in our store, or in the gold shop.
Once you own a Private Mine you will be able to purchase upgrade tokens for your mine within the Gold Shop. You can choose to upgrade to a medium or a large mine. Once you have obtained this token you will be able to use it on one of your Private Mines. Once the token has been used your mine size will be upgraded.
Updated! Pickaxe Enchantments
In a season with balance changes we can not leave behind the pickaxe enchantments, for this season we have tweaked the prices for almost all of our custom pickaxe enchantments. On top of that we will be removing, and modifying some pickaxe enchantments to make things more exciting for you.

Let's get started with the enchantments that we have removed.
Speed - We have removed the speed enchantment to make place for more valuable enchantments, the speed effect can now be unlocked as a gang perk.
Haste - This enchantment has been removed as it does not add any extra value to the high-efficiency levels of your pickaxe.
Lucky Backpack - The lucky backpack has been removed and we have buffed and fixed the charmed backpack enchantment to compensate for this.
Drill Hammer - The enchant is just not good enough compared to what other enchantments do, so we decided to remove it.
Enchantments with a maximum level change.
These enchantments have all had a big amount of extra levels being added, and now they all have the same maximum level.
Fortune - Added 500 more levels, max is now 2,500
Efficiency - Added 700 more levels, max level is now 2,500
Token Greed - Added 1,000 extra levels, max level is now 2,500
Mine Gem Booster - Added 1,500 levels, max level is now 2,500
Felicity - Reduced levels by 10, maximum level is now 25.
Magnificent - Added 5 levels, max level is now 25. Each level gives 2% extra tokens.
Enchantments that have received a buff
These enchantments have all had a big amount of extra levels being added, and now they all have the same maximum level.
Token Greed - The Token Greed enchantment will now also affect tokens from Lucky Blocks.
Beacon Finder - Will now give 2 beacons every time instead of 1.
Next to that Gem Booster will now be called Loot Box Booster, as that name makes much more sense, as all it does is simply boost your orb loot boxes.
If you think that's all, then wait! There is much more! We will be adding 2 new enchantments.

As we mentioned before, it is the season of balancing out the gamemode and polishing it as a whole, which is also why we will be taking a step in to the right direction by modifying the costs of the enchantments you can apply on your pickaxe. Let's just dive straight into the prices that we have changed.

The two new enchantments that we will be adding will also have a price tag, however, instead of tokens, it is time to make those gems you are hoarding more valuable. These enchantments will cost gems to upgrade.

Updated! Pickaxe Prestiges
And last but not least as part of these balance changes, we are taking a look at pickaxe prestige. Our idea with this prestige was to make everyone progress a bit slower, but this has not been the only result we have seen with this. The gap between people became bigger and bigger and people were no longer interested in prestiging their pickaxe, due to the fact that you would have to grind all of the enchantments again.
With the enchantment pricing rebalancing, making a lot of enchantments more expensive we can now finally tell you that we will be removing this feature.
Pickaxe Prestiging is still required, however, it will no longer remove all of your pickaxe enchantments!
With the introduction of the Pickaxe Orbs we now also feel like it's time to put those on hold for the new players, as pickaxe prestiging is now way more accessible we will be making these slots locked away until you have reached a certain pickaxe prestige. We will also be adding back pickaxe prestige 4! Next to all of this good news we also will be making enchantments accessible on reaching certain pickaxe prestiges, rather than your actual prestige rank.

Removed! Mafia Families
After further consideration, we decided it's in the best interest of the future of OpPrison to remove this feature, at least for now.
OpPrison is a gamemode filled with a bunch of features, and to keep everything fair and balanced we thought it's better to remove this feature as a whole.
The players will always have 1 family that is best to vote on rather than having to think what is smart to vote for, making this feature something we did not intend it to be, just an extra permanent booster further influencing the economy of OpPrison.
So starting next season we will say our final goodbye to the families.
Fixed! Bugs
We did our best to polish and fix as many existing bugs inside the OpPrison server. We have looked through all the bug reports and managed to fix them. If you come across any bugs with the new release, make sure to report them at our forums under the bug reports section.

- Fixed setting to disable prestige broadcast.
- Fixed losing night vision after dying.
- Fixed felicity boosting percentages.
- Fixed /g vault not working.
- Fixed Gang Sell Multiplier.
- Fixed /enchanttoggle for Treasure Seeker enchantment.
- Fixed all enchantments showing in /disenchanter.
- Fixed 5th and 6th Gang missions from not showing.
- Fixed Gang Jump boost having 5 levels instead of 2.
- Fixed Parrot Pet not leveling up.
- Fixed pickaxe colors resetting after reboot.
- Fixed charmed enchantment on backpack
- Fixed Hedgehog spiked ability typo.
- Fixed Hedgehog ability.
- Fixed charmed being named charity.
- Fixed gems and reforged gems in minions breaking after reboot.
- Fixed event leaderboards showing {player} instead of gang name.
- Fixed being able to join an event when you are not in a gang.
- Fixed inconsistencies in the minesuits menu.
- Fixed being able to bypass chat mutes using gang chat.
- Fixed token crate keys not being given when exiting early.
- Fixed token crate keys not counting towards level requirement.
- Fixed auction house showing double dollar signs.
- Fixed drugs supply event not working.
- Fixed keys from treasure chests not going in to /gift.
Misc. Updates & Changes
Multiple small changes have been made, some of these small changes are the following:
- Updated Anticheat.
- Updated payouts menu.
- Added playtime in tab.
- Removed the message 'You can not break this block' in the Diamond Dunes.
- Added a new Dunes crate for the Diamond Dunes.
- Added all bombs to mystery bomb crate.
- Removed horse items from shop as there are no horses.
- Rebalanced the rewards of the treasure chests to give less keys in total.
- Removed tax being boosted when claiming in your private mine.
- Removed the rank-up crate.
- Nerfed gladiator pet damage output.

Question and Answers
Why did OpPrison reset?
OpPrison is already up for some time. A reset has to happen to change and improve with lots of excellent new features, to make the game more exciting for you all! This then allows you, the players, to have a fresh start and new players can begin to play without any significant disadvantage.
This means all cells, items, money and the map will be reset. Nothing will be kept leftover from the previous map. I know this must be a disappointing revelation for a lot of you, but think about the exciting new changes, the new alliances you can forge, the new map, the new features and updates the different kinds of gameplay, and style is provided with this update will surely make it a worth-while and exciting reset!
