As the season has come to an end it is time to continue the cycle with another OpFactions reset. It is time for another season for top factions to compete against each other.
OpFactions is all about the competitive aspect. And we want to keep it that way, that's why for this season we are providing more features and items to enhance the 1-on-1 action in the warzones. A lot of improvements have been made to make PvPing even more exciting. We also implemented some community feedback as well.

End of the world
To celebrate the end of the season, we will be hosting an end-of-season event. At around 3 days before the release, we will be placing reset signs at spawn which you can click and claim a number of rewards; Free items, Free gkits, Millions of in-game money, Tons of free experience to level up your overpowered armor. Everyone will be able to finish their rank-ups because you can get everything for free. You can fight with everyone without the fear of losing your gear you have weeks to gather. So clearly this is the event everyone should participate in! Hop on OpFactions and have fun!
Changelog
The most important features/modifications implemented towards this season's map and functions are the following.
Payouts! Faction Top Rewards
This new season of OpFactions we will have bi-weekly rewards for the top factions! This will go on until the end of the season which will last exactly 5 weeks or 35 days and end with the final payout. View all the dates in the /payouts menu.
End of the season rewards
First place: $350 USD PayPal and €500 worth of Iron currency.
Second place: $150 USD PayPal and €350 worth of Iron currency.
Third place: €250 worth of Iron currency.
Bi-weekly rewards
First place: €75 worth of Iron currency.
Second place: €50 worth of Iron currency.
Third place: €25 worth of Iron currency.
New! Spawn
It is time for a new season, and what better way to do that than with a brand new spawn. Like every season the spawn will be filled with information & features, here is a list of the things you can find around spawn.
A new spawn with an old-school oriental theme.
The spawn contains multiple KOTHs again.
Looking for some help? There are plenty of NPCs explaining all the features.
Supply drops can be found all around the warzone, this season with more drops at once.
A new seasonal crate has been added again.
Updated! Worlds
As every season needs a spawn we will also need some worlds for you to start your base in. There will be an overworld and an end world like all seasons, and worlds themed to the worlds fitting for this reset.
There will be a total of 20 corners, these being the following
OverWorld (/spawn)
The border for the overworld will be 10,000 x 10,000 (-5,000 to 5,000) - The spawn is located in the middle.
KOTHs will be located at each side of /spawn close to it.
The End (/warp end)
The border for the end world will be 10,000 x 10,000 (-5,000 to 5,000) - The warp is located in the middle.
Flat sandstone will be placed from Y:1 to Y:30.
This warp counts with 1 KOTH.
Oriental World (/warp oriental)
The border for the oriental world will be 7,500 x 7,500 (-3,750 to 3,750) - The warp is located in the middle.
Flat green clay will be placed from Y:1 to Y:30.
An outpost will be located within this world.
Desert World (/warp desert)
The border for the desert world will be 7,500 x 7,500 (-3,750 to 3,750) - The warp is located in the middle.
Flat yellow clay will be placed from Y:1 to Y:30.
This warp contains 1 KOTH.
Snow World (/warp Snow)
The border for the snow world will be 7,500 x 7,500 (-3,750 to 3,750) The warp is located in the middle.
Flat Snow will be placed from Y:1 to Y:30.
This warp contains 1 KOTH.
New! Dueling System
PvPing has been a big part of OpFactions so we are always looking into things to improve this aspect even more.
For this season we will be doing something completely brand new, the Dueling system.
Players have been asking us many times for a Dueling system and I can proudly announce that it's finally happening within this season.
The dueling system works as followed:
Start by dueling a player.
You will be able to send a duel request to a player using the /duel command. If I want to duel voodootje0, I will type /duel voodootje0. voodootje0 will be able to accept or deny this request. Before sending the Duel Request you will be promoted with a menu for some settings for that Duel. You can toggle the usage of Custom Enchantments within these duels, and enderpearls. These settings will be saved once you have selected them once, but you can spice it up and change them for any future battle as well.
Lock in your inventory.
Upon accepting a duel request an inventory will open where you can select the items that you are bringing into this duel. Each player can click items from their inventory to be added to the Duel Kit. Both players will have to accept or deny the selected items, once you have settled on the items it's time for the wager.
Select the wager.
After accepting the duel items it's time to place your bets. Will you be playing for the inventory, or should you keep the items that you bring into this fight?
You can choose both options. On top of that, you can put in money and items as well. Simply increase or decrease the amount of money by clicking the icons shown within this menu.
You can drop in items into this menu as well simply by clicking on them inside your inventory. Make sure you have everything ready because you can not take out these items after already accepting the duel request.
Time to fight!
Once you have agreed on the items being brought in the duel, and the rewards it is time to fight. You and your opponent will be teleported into an arena where you can fight till the death. The winner is decided by killing your opponent.
After the fight is over and the winner has been decided you can pick up your won items from the /maildelivery. The wagered money will automatically go into your account.
New! Quest Vouchers
Quest Vouchers are a new type of voucher that will let you complete a specific Quest in order to receive a reward.
These Vouchers will be integrated throughout the game and will be soul-bounded once activated. You can expect to find these Vouchers in places like:
Crates
Supply Drops
Transfer Shop
Boss Loot Bag
Dungeon Mobs
Boss Drops
Monthly Crates
and more...!
The Quest Vouchers can only be activated 10 times a day.
They will have an expiry time after you have activated them. In order to start the quest simply right-click the voucher to enable it. Your quest will now be active and can be viewed using the /quests command.
Some very hard quests that will be obtained only by going through hell will broadcast your name once you complete them. There will also be leaderboards for these Quest Vouchers that you can compete in.
New! Pets
We think it's finally time to bring Pets into OpFactions, to further enhance the PvP at our factions server.
These pets will be your little buddy inside your inventory. Once they are inside your inventory you will be able to activate their ability, simply by right-clicking with the pet item.
These pets can be leveled up using a Rare Candy or by using them in battle. The Pet will gain experience each time the ability has been activated.
For the release of this new pet feature, we decided to add 5 pets to start off with.

Receive absorption hearts when activated. The amount of hearts depends on the level of your bear pet. | Gain a temporary sell boost when selling loot with a sell wand or to /shop. Special sets will be rare sets that have been added to OpFactions. These sets will all have their own unique ability and will be swapped around per season. For this season there are 4 special sets matching the theme.

New! Skull Rewards
Upon obtaining the Headless enchantment you will now be able to trade in these heads for some cash. This will add a whole new strategy to our OpFactions server.
Upon selling this head you will receive 10% of the player's balance that you killed. So this will add a whole new level to PvP, making it a risk to just drop in and fight without making sure you have spent your money wisely. One mistake can make a whole difference.
To prevent people from sniping money from players you will only be able to sell the head within 1 hour after obtaining it.

Updated! Masks
The masks are a great addition to the game, but they are in need of some small changes to be utilized to their full potential.
The low health values have been higher up a bit, so the low health abilities will activate a bit sooner for every mask.
For this season we made those required changes and the masks will now have the following:

Updated! Skills
We will be adding two more skills to the table, those being Acrobatics and Salvaging.
Acrobatics Skill
Acrobatics is a skill that allows Graceful Roll, as well as combat damage negation with the passive skill "Dodge".
Dodge Ability (Unlocked by default)
Take no fall damage when activated.
Experience in Acrobatics is gained by taking fall damage, and successfully rolling on the ground.
Salvaging Skill
Salvage is the ability to reclaim the base materials from tools and armor.
Arcane Salvage Ability (Unlocks at Salvaging Level 15):
This ability allows enchanted books to also appear when salvaging enchanted items. The chance of successfully extracting a full or partial enchantment increases per level.
Advanced Salvage (Unlocks at Salaving Level 35):
When unlocked, this ability allows damaged items to be salvaged. The yield percentage increases with the level.
Experience in Salvaging is gained by tinkering and enchanting items. You will also earn salvaging experience by using the salvage abilities. This ability can be used by right-clicking an iron block.
Fixed! Bugs
We did our best to polish and fix as many existing bugs inside the OpFactions server. We have looked through all the bug reports and managed to fix them. If you come across any bugs with the new release, make sure to report them at our forums under the bug reports section.
Here are a few of the bugs we squished out:
- Fixed all the rewards from boss loot bags.
- Fixed /f raid claim 1.
- Fixed not being able to print some blocks.
- Fixed some masks having the wrong description.
- Fixed all rank vouchers.
- Fixed Sapphires from crates.
- Fixed auction house issues.
- Fixed phasers being able to sell your chests.
- Fixed infinite chests not being able to be placed.
- Fixed /roam never-ending.
- and many more.
Misc. Updates and changes.
After receiving some suggestions about modifying a couple of things, we have decided to make the following modifications in order to make everyone's Factions experience much better. We have modified a few features which were present on the previous map, and here is the list including those modifications, along with a justification for the majority:
- Updated all plugins
- Updated /payouts menu
- Updated seasonal crate rewards
- Added more bracket colors & fixed them
- Added horizontal & verticles gen buckets for every available block in the gen shop.
- Made unique, godly, and gold set into a voucher.
- Buffed Raider GKIT.
- Reworked some perks of the in-game ranks.
- Added back old warp soccer.

Question and Answers
Why does OpFactions reset?
OpFactions is already up for some time. A reset has to happen to change and improve with new features, to make the game more exciting for you all! This then allows you players to have a fresh start and new players can begin to play without any significant disadvantage.
This means all items, money, and the map will be reset. Nothing will be kept leftover from the previous map. I know this must be a disappointing revelation for a lot of you, but think about the exciting new changes, the new alliances you can forge, the new map, the new features and updates the different kinds of gameplay, and style is provided with this update will surely make it a worth-while and exciting reset!
