When there is a game mode restart you have to wait few minutes so the server starts running again. You probably joined right before it happened.

also if you log out at your base and i gets raided you cant log back in.

true I had to do that before too.

the server restarts daily (sometimes 1-2 times per day) and that maybe is your problem or you are banned from factions
