1. Would you mind telling us about your journey in pika and what inspired you to become staff?
Ans- I've been playing on PikaNetwork for over 4 years, if not more. The gamemodes I play are BedWars and Practice, although I remember playing KitPvP when I was just beginning to play on this server. I was inspired to become staff at the beginning of 2024. I wanted to help people out, moderate and have an experience in doing something professional in a video game. I had friends who were staff members, and they also encouraged me to join the staff team.
2. What are your views on being a moderator and your colleagues
Ans- Being a Moderator is enjoyable, yet working hard is essential. It indicates that you've proven yourself by being promoted twice. It's the midpoint of the whole staff journey (Trial - Admin), which is something I am very proud of. My colleagues (other staff members) are really helpful, engaging and hard working in my opinion. We all try our best to make an impact on PikaNetwork. If we have made mistakes, we resolve them together, and discuss possible outcomes.
3. Can you tell us in brief about what actually is screensharing( for those who are the newest member of pika)?
Ans- Screensharing is a process in which designated staff member (with the SS Verified or SS Manager sub-role) remotely checks a player's device to look for illegal modifications. Player's must cooperate and adhere to the screensharer's instructions while being screenshared. Being asked to screenshare does not mean the player is cheating. It simply means there was some suspicion, and the screenshare is to confirm that they are legitimate.
4. Do you think having one ss manager is better or having 2 makes it easier?
Ans- Having 2 is much better than having one. It equally divides the work amongst the two SS Managers and work can be assigned differently. Secondly, it's also important for another SS Manager to validate a screenshare (for e.g: if I ban someone and they appeal, the other SS Manager should review it, so it's fair). Having 2 SS Managers means there would be different ideas and suggestions when enforcing screenshare-related rules.
5. What are most of the appeals regarding screensharing about?
Ans- I can't really answer that in-depth. But the most obvious answer for this would be appealing for their ban.
6. There are many a times that players are asked out of random to screen share their screen and they answer that they arent able to "screenshare" at that moment so do they get banned every time or are they some exceptional cases?
Ans- It's case dependent usually. We cannot share reasons.
7. Who has been your best freind in the staff team?
Ans- My best friend has been aeserior (now he is an ex-staff). As of now, I enjoy talking to BarBarasco
8. Do you enjoy your work as SS Manager?
Ans- Of course, that's why I decided to become one.
