Fire glitch Skyblock Classic

I have a problem at my island from Skyblock Classic
I tried to activate my nether portal with my flint and steel buy it didn't worked.
I searched on google to know if the nether portal I made good was.
I saw that my nether portal good was but the portal still isn't activating.

I tried later to activate my portal with lava and wooden planks but that didn't work too.
Also there were some weird things that I saw:

• The health bar of my flint and steel wasn't going down.
• I couldn't use the flint and steel on other blocks, like planks and wood.

Does someone know how to solve this?

That's so you can't grief, If fire spreads were allowed anyone would scam a player to tell them to add them to their islands and just light it all on fire.

Ow someone who know the lava trick
I can´t help you sadly but i think, if the nether is activated for people in the gamemode,
ask an admin? o.o
Have no idea about the gamemode tbh

I don't really know, as I started playing SkyBlock classic today, Maybe make sure your portal is built correctly?

Yeah, Im sure my portal is correctly.
It is 5 blocks high and 4 blocks horizontally

did you try to restart your minecraft XD , it could work, and are you using 1.8.9??, try to use another version, it have to work
