Creating "pages" for issued punishments
Detailed description:
Overview
Currently, PikaNetwork allows viewing up to 50 issued punishments by a staff member. While this limit is functional, it restricts the visibility of a staff member's complete history of actions. Introducing a paginated system to view all issued punishments by a staff member would enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency within the network.
Detailed Proposal
Feature Description:
- Pagination System: Implement a paginated interface that allows users to navigate through multiple pages of issued punishments. Each page could display 50 punishments, with options to go to the next, previous, first, and last pages.
- Search and Filter: Add search and filter options to make it easier to find specific punishments. Filters could include date range, type of punishment (ban, mute, warning), reason for punishment, and the punished player's username.
Conclusion
Implementing a paginated system for viewing staff members' issued punishments would significantly improve the transparency, accountability, and usability of the PikaNetwork's moderation tools. By providing detailed search, filter, and sort functionalities, both players and staff can benefit from a more organized and accessible system, ultimately leading to a better and more fair gaming environment.
Reason(s):
Benefits
- Enhanced Transparency: Staff members' actions are fully visible, promoting fairness and accountability. Players can see a comprehensive history, reducing suspicions of bias or unfair practices.
- Improved Accountability: Staff members are more accountable for their actions as all issued punishments are easily accessible. This can lead to more careful and fair decision-making.
- Ease of Use: The ability to search, filter, and sort punishments makes it easier for players and staff to find specific records. This can be particularly useful during appeals or reviews of staff performance.
- Better Data Management: For administrators and senior staff, having access to a complete history of actions allows for better analysis and management of staff performance.
Example(s):
- Pagination: If a staff member has issued 150 punishments, the system would create 3 pages (50 punishments per page). Users can navigate between these pages using "Next", "Previous", "First", and "Last" buttons.
- Search and Filter: If a player wants to see all bans issued by a particular staff member, they can use the filter to display only bans. If looking for punishments issued in a specific month, they can set the date range filter.
- Sorting: Users can sort the list by date to see the most recent punishments first, or by type to see all mutes grouped together.
