Try to completely quit out of minecraft and log back in.

i bet the lobby was just full or he was laging a lot.

or you might be trying to log into op facs with 1.7 and now opfacs is only 1.8 compatible

Try to reboot your Minecraft, Then try logging back in. Maybe the server is full and you can't join the lobby (Hub). So give it 2-5 minutes before you join back. Hope this helped.
