Hey everyone! For newer players, BedWars learning the different maps can be a bit confusing. In this guide, I aim to guide beginner and intermediate players by taking a look at the solo/doubles maps, the main play-styles on the map, and other strategies.
Each map will include:
> Difficulty level (1–10), based on how safe you and your bed are
> General map overview
> Primary play-styles
> Beginner and advanced strategies
> Bed loss strategy
NOTE: This guide provides advice that is map-specific. If you want a more general guide on how to win/play BedWars in general, I highly recommend you check out this guide by @Arrly
As usual, either comment or privately message me if I've missed anything you think should be added. Good luck grinding some wins!

Without further ado, let's get into the actual guide!
Difficulty: 5/10
Play-Styles: Diamond Rush, Flexible
The map airshow is one of the best maps in the game and is a favorite among many. Airshow is a map that is divided into four quadrants. You and your neighbour battle it out for control of your quadrant. Whoever eliminates their enemy will have access to emeralds and diamonds and is free to hop about the balloons to attack others. It isn't a surprise that many of the highest win streaks are achieved on this map.
Beginner Strategy: On Airshow, you must gain control of your quadrant first and foremost, so be quick to put a strong defence of endstone, or wood covered by wool, and grab a piece of TnT and rush your opponent with 64 wool. Your TNT should help you break your opponent's bed and kill them soon after; feel free to grab diamonds if needed. After you have defeated your opponent, feel free to explore and stack up on diamonds and emeralds, and then you will be able to overpower your enemies with pearls, potions, and gear.
Advanced Strategy: The first thing you need to do is get 16 iron and buy 64 wool, cover your bed with wool (or wood, although the four gold could go to iron armour later on), and then immediately rush your neighbour via the diamond generator. After you have killed your opponent, see if any person from another quadrant has killed their opponent. Assess whether they are likely to attack you next, buy iron armour, protection 1, and a miner fatigue trap, and attack them while keeping an eye on your bed. Continue rushing others this way.
Bed Loss Strategy: Make full use of the available emeralds and diamonds, stack up on protection and sharpness upgrades, buy a pearl and invisibility and jump potions, play very safe, and only attack once you feel you are ready.

Frozen Falls is a 48-block rush map with very distant side islands, meaning early side rushes are unlikely. The adjacent base that shares your diamond generator is your main early threat. Diamond generators sit very close to mid, and middle itself is large but thin, making knock-offs possible if you get knocked over the wall.
Beginner Strategy: Your first priority should be rushing the diamond generator and watching your adjacent neighbor. Since side islands are far, you don’t need to panic about multi-directional rushes early. Grab Protection I quickly, then decide whether to pressure your adjacent base or take mid control. When fighting in mid, play cautiously, the thin walkways make it easy to get knocked off, especially without good positioning. Fireballs and knockback sticks are very effective here.
Advanced Strategy: Advanced players can abuse how close the diamond generators are to mid by rotating constantly between diamonds and emeralds. After removing your adjacent threat, you can freely control both without committing fully to mid. When fighting, always try to force engagements near edges. Even lightly geared players can win fights by knocking opponents into the void. Pearls are strong on this map due to how open mid is, but mistiming one usually means death.
Bed Loss Strategy: Frozen Falls is surprisingly playable after bed loss. Mid control is achievable, and because bases connect cleanly through diamond generators, you can cycle base > diamond > mid > enemy base efficiently. Play for knock-offs rather than direct fights, stack utility items, and avoid prolonged duels in the open. One good fight near mid can swing the entire game back in your favor.

Frozen Fortress is a very large, spread-out map with a primary side rush requiring around 48 blocks. Mid is wide and open, with emerald generators spaced far apart, making emerald collection slower but safer. Because of the long distances between islands, you should make sure to always watch the amount of unncessary blocks you place. This map rewards planning and patience over reckless rushing.
Beginner Strategy: On Frozen Fortress, you should start by rushing the diamond generator and then pressuring your side neighbor. Because distances are long, always carry extra blocks, running out mid-bridge is a common beginner mistake on this map. Avoid early mid control unless the area is uncontested; instead, focus on diamond upgrades like Protection I and a Miner Fatigue Trap. Once you’re decently geared, take mid slowly and safely, grabbing emeralds one at a time rather than overcommitting.
Advanced Strategy: Advanced players should abuse the size of the map to avoid unfavorable fights. After securing diamonds and removing the nearby threat, rotate between diamond generators and selectively contest mid to grab some emeralds. Because emerald generators are far apart, you can often deny emeralds by controlling just one or two generators rather than all of mid. Pearls and fireballs are extremely valuable here due to long travel times and wide gaps.
Bed Loss Strategy: Frozen Fortress is forgiving after bed loss if you have resources. The map’s size makes it easy to disengage, hide, and re-gear. Focus on controlling diamond generators first, then carefully collect emeralds when mid is clear. Because bases are far apart, opponents often struggle to finish players quickly, giving you time to recover and play for the win.

Gifted Ruins is a map with close player islands and a pretty large mid featuring four tunnels that lead up to the emerald gens on top mid. The diamond island acts as the primary rush route to get to your neighboring island. This makes getting early diamond control very important. Mid is powerful, but risky early on due to multiple entry points and also frequent fights. The bed area is close to the base entrance, making simple, efficient defenses more effective than heavily layering your bed.
Beginner Strategy: On Gifted Ruins, you should rush diamonds immediately and then pressure the connecting base through the diamond island. This can be done very early with as little as 12 iron, making fast starts rewarding. Avoid heavy layered bed defenses, as blocking your own entrance can hurt your ability to defend and counter-rush. Be aware that due to the close player islands, you can be rushed from either side of your base at any time, and always keep blocks ready. After your first elimination, prioritize Protection I and a Miner Fatigue Trap before looking to take mid.
Advanced Strategy: Advanced players should play aggressively and deny resources early. After securing diamonds and eliminating a nearby base, rotate quickly between diamond generators and enemy islands to keep constant pressure on your opponents. Once all of the immediate threats are gone, you should take mid. This map can snowball quickly if you stay ahead.
Bed Loss Strategy: Gifted Ruins is very playable without a bed if you can gain mid control. The four mid tunnels can provide you with strong escape options and make it easy to break the line of sight of an opponent whenever you are being chased. Because diamond generators and enemy bases are close together, you can quickly re-gear after winning fights, constantly getting diamond upgrades, which could end up swaying the game in your favor.

Lighthouse is a very aggressive map, which can be daunting for newer players; however, it can be a good map to practice rushing, it is easily one of the best maps for grinding as well as the games are all relatively quick.
Beginner Strategy: The diamond generators are a reliable place to keep an eye on your base while being efficient in collecting resources, I suggest running back and forth between your generator, and the diamond generator for the most efficiency. When you think you have enough resources, I recommend trying to snag a bed or two! If you need it, go to middle and use the emeralds to win the game. If your neighbour is rushing you early in the game (8 rush, refer to the advanced section), then a good tip is to get 12 iron and rush them while taking the higher ground, this should help you beat them.
Advanced Strategy: On Lighthouse, it only takes eight iron to get 32 wool and bridge over to your neighbour comfortably. 12 iron rushing is also a safer option; this gives you an easy bed because if you are even semi-fast, you can get their bed before it is even possible to have a strong defense. On Lighthouse, you can just keep rushing in one circle, while maintaining a small eye on your base.
Bed Loss Strategy: If you lose your bed on Lighthouse, similar to the other maps, grab emeralds quickly, avoid confrontations with other players, and grab diamonds for powerful upgrades to help you win the game.

Resalutare is a well-balanced map that rewards rushing. It only takes eight iron and 32 wool to bridge from your base to the diamond generator and then directly to your opponent’s base. This makes the diamond island the primary rush route on this map. Side bases are spaced far enough apart that early side rushing is not a major concern, but every now and then there will be an opponent that side rushes you for some reason..
Beginner Strategy: On Resalutare, it is recommended to prioritize getting to the diamond generator early. A quick diamond rush allows you to secure early upgrades while also setting up an easy first rush on your neighbor. If at the start of the game, you sit back in your gen even for a little bit, your opponent could secure Protection 1 before you even fight them. After eliminating your first opponent, you can safely rotate between your base, the diamond generator, and mid to stack up on resources. You should avoid over-committing to mid too early unless you are confident you can control it.
Advanced Strategy: Advanced players should try to take advantage of the short rush distance by having an aggresive playsyle. After your first kill, you should try to quickly establish control over mid and also the nearby diamond generators. You can typically snag a few diamonds from gens while players are distracted still fighting over it. Because the map is pretty compact, chaining kills and rotating between bases is very efficient. Outside of the main mid building, fireballs and knockoffs can be pretty effective since there are multiple smaller islands.
Bed Loss Strategy: Resalutare is very forgiving after bed loss. Mid control is relatively easy to regain, and the short distance between your base, the diamond generator, and enemy islands allows you to quickly re-gear after each fight. After eliminating an opponent, you can reliably cycle through these areas to collect iron, diamonds, and emeralds, making comebacks very realistic on this map.

Rooftop has received mixed reception over its lifetime as a map. One reason being it lags for certain people, and it can be annoying to travel from place to place. However, I will bring new life to the map. Rooftop is similar to Airshow, replacing the balloons with towers, it is slightly annoying to travel and marginally large, which can make it confusing, but it is a good map for beginners, once you learn the locations.
Beginner Strategy: I suggest getting used to the map before you try to rush other players or middle. If you don't know where the emerald generators are in middle you can find yourself wandering between towers, and before you know it, you no longer have a bed. I suggest trying to camp it out with the diamond generator and a quality base defence to make it to the final 2, from here you can explore mid pretty safely, collecting resources.
Advanced Strategy: Once you have gotten used to the map, use the same strategy as on Airshow, to sum it up, grab 64 wool, place a wool defence, and rush your neighbour via the diamond generator. After this buy iron armour and a stone sword, protection 1, and a miner fatigue trap. Then commence with rushing people from different quadrants, for more detail, refer to the Advanced Airshow guide.
Bed Loss Strategy: Similarly to Airshow, you want to grab many of the emeralds at middle, if someone is chasing you, you can sneak out through one of the openings in the bottom floors of the tower, where emeralds spawn. Use diamonds and emeralds to buy powerful items and upgrades to win the game.

Speedway is a straight-forward map to manoeuvre, middle is everywhere, and any player on the map can access the diamond generators and emerald generators for each quadrant. Middle will bring you many fights, so be ready; however, if you can win your battles, it will slowly pay off. Emeralds and diamonds are not very hard to get on this map.
Beginner Strategy: Try rushing middle on this map, it's not too challenging, and it will pay off well if you can win your first fights. After you get plenty of emeralds, go back to your base and buy plenty of potions and pearls, you can even buy diamond gear on this map. With this you can easily control most diamond generators and all the emerald generators, helping you win the game.
Advanced Strategy: I suggest using the same strategy as Airshow on this map, just be prepared to be rushed a lot more, watch out for the neighbour that is across you, they may rush you sideways (not recommended), but can catch you off-guard.
Bed Loss Strategy: If you lose your bed, collect diamonds from all the different quadrants where there aren't many people if a bed is open and easily broken, with no one at the base, break the bed and take control of the resources. You have to be more careful with taking emeralds from middle however, as middle can be hotly contested on this map.
