If your launcher isn't crashing or your not having any problems, just try to go on 1.8 if you're on 1.7.10. You can join the server on 1.7.10 and be on a 1.8 chunk and it will kick you and won't let you join until you get on 1.8-1.8.9. So the best option for you is to change versions either 1.8...
