Pika is gay(ping issue)

Hey : D LOOK WHOS HERE YWEHAEHHAEH ITS ME, oke oke serious >:)

Its been 4 Months with this ping issue, Its not just faced by some of the players but all the asians right now ig. Every match you join and hit the tab button, you will see pings which are above 180 or many times 200 to 300 even more (just like me T_T im getting 400ms tf). It was like okay for me to play on 200ms but getting to 400ms is so gay + its so laggy like I get teleported (NOT ONCE BUT LIKE 15 TIMES) i fell in void 10 times today becuz of that.

One more issue which is there is that like (its been 4 days since its happening) ahh like if you're playing your game sometimes it will crash and you will be kicked out of the server and idk HOW BUT PIKA KNOWS EXACTLY WHEN IM WINNING XD CUZ THAT HAPPENS WHENEVR IM WINNING A GAME. xD lmfao

Dude i used every flipping custom ip they have but its the same T_T if anyone of yall type it below this istg ur gay as flip lmao.

The ping issue from server side is already fixed. If you’re still getting high ping, it’s probably because of your Wi-Fi or the distance between your location and the server. Use a VPN

theres noway that everyone can have a bad wifi T_T and i have tried the vpn thingy as well (im whitelisted) but T_T the free once are so bad that they give me 999+ ms lmfao. and i cant afford paid once ;/

idk why people think vpn means lower ping this is completely a myth.
anyway its normal for an asian player to get high ping. pika is an alright server tbh(excluding the kb)

I am also Asian with a timezone of GMT+8. My ping has been consistent at 250-300ms (well, on a good day I may get 220ms) since around 2019. It is very normal for us to have a high ping since the connection is so far away from the host; it is not a server-side issue, and there is nothing you can do about it.

There are connectivity issues, and the pika network developers are aware of them.
Try joining using these IPs and see if it fixes your problem:

do you use ethernet?
since i wont even be close to 40ms without it. using wifi makes my best ping 180ms, and i think most people arguing about ping issues mostly use wifi.

Nope, I am on wifi. And yeah, if you use Ethernet it will be a lot more stable than wifi.

my ethernet cable "somehow" broke like i was plugin it in and ye.. from then on im using wifi T_T so yeah but tysm will try my best to buy it (IM a keed i cant but will save money)

I suppose you guys were blaming it on some "sea cables broken" and that's not servers issue...
And before the summers of 2024 I had consistent 170-180ms max on my wifi, now it's unplayable and most of the times can't even join in.. always 400ms and higher..
It's okay you guys can blame it on everyone's wifis and locations and yeah some people might also have high pings because they must be playing on core 2 duo or a GT710 as some might think..
At this point it's hard to distinguish between PikaNetwork's hosts and aternos..
I wish the owners and Dev's someday become more accountable and accept the problems and change something instead of running away from it and blaming it on something or the other which "they can do nothing about" it's not like they are not capable of it
And yeah as some people are saying it's europe based and stuff so yeah it's Netherlands based and the distance is far away from Asia but it cannot be that we were getting stable pings in early 2024 and suddenly it all deteriorated, there were some technological regression which made the global internet speeds slow and it's not the servers issue?
Plus even if we are willing to use a vpn and put up a vpn whitelist appeal, it takes weeks(minimum) to get responded to, that's not something you can change? Or there is only one admin which handles that? (In around 2022 you could just put up a screenshot in the discord and they would whitelist you under 30-40mins max.)
