High Ping Issues for Indian Players

Hello PikaNetwork Team,

I’m an Indian player who really enjoys playing on your server, but I (and many other players from this region) experience consistently high ping and lag. This often makes PvP and minigames much harder to play smoothly compared to players with lower latency.

Reason:
India has a large and growing Minecraft community, and many of us love playing on PikaNetwork. However, the high ping (usually 180–250 ms or more) gives a big disadvantage in competitive modes like BedWars, SkyWars, Practice, etc. Reducing this latency would improve fairness, player satisfaction, and help attract even more players from South Asia.

Example / Possible Solutions:

  • Consider adding an Asian proxy or a separate Asia-region server.
  • Partner with a service that offers better routing for Indian players.
  • Implement optimisations on the backend to handle high-latency players better.
Thank you for looking into this issue!

The high ping issue isn't pika's fault, several undersea fibre-optic cables in the Red sea have been cut, disrupting Internet routes linking Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This issue might take several weeks to fix so I suggest you create a VPN blockage appeal here and use a VPN on the off chance it might help.

You could put this is suggestions category or something too but it would get denied.
Asian proxy would be nice

But this issue(as Theimo states) is because of the fibre cables broken in the red sea, slowing down connectivity between eu and asia

I wonder tho are the optic cables broken ? And is that really affect pikas ping to this extent?

I appreciate your reply, your suggestion is good therefore I may apply a VPN Blockage.
