Detailed description:

Hi, as we all know the limit for a message in the version 1.8.9 which we all play BedWars and SkyPvP and other modes which is 1.8 supported, the vanilla message limit for 1.8.9 is just 100 characters per message. That's just 2 rows of lines if we write in a message, because it was increased to 256 characters per message later. I would suggest to use a Plugin which increases it to 256. The 100-character limit is so annoying.​

Reason(s):

Here are some reasons that I could find:​

-It's annoying to be able to write a message of only 100 characters -Major​

-It will match the newer versions (1.16+) with the lower versions (1.8) message limit, making them both 256 -Minor​

-our long message can get split by other messages if we try to put it in parts in chat, -Minor​

You always have the choice to type two consecutive msgs if it doesn't fit in one go

Allowing much longer messages means a single player can fill the chat with multiple lines of text at once. This would only make conversations hard to follow.
Furthermore, it would make chat spam significantly more disruptive and harder to manage.

Sounds like a good suggestion.
I don't play much anymore but when I did I was mostly on 1.21 even when playing 1.8 modes, I would sometimes type a long message only for it to send just the first half due to the limit making me have to type the second half again.
This will make typing longer messages much more convenient and the chat much more organized.

You can report spams, and it's just 5 lines instead of 2, not much longer
