Solving the cheater problem​

Detailed description:

Hello,

Today i make this suggestion about the cheater in SkyPvP, like everyone know, cheater are a problems in every gamemode, however in skypvp a cheater has a lot more impact than in op factions or kit pvp.
The cheater only need to make you fall in void to kill you, that's a lot easier than killing you normally.
The problem is when people using set that are bought with gold, how can you tell someone to buy another special set, when he loose 2 of them because of cheaters ?
It's a problem for the players and the server because it represent a loss of earnings.

For this problem i have come up with 2 solutions :

- Make the gamemode accessible from player who have at least a amount of hours / linked to a discord account.
With this alting will be a lot more difficult, and players can still easily access to the gamemode.
Because a cheater will need to make a link to a discord, so he will need to make a discord in addition to another crack account.

The second solution would be a command, a /freeze command, that is like a moderator command but on yourself, so you stop playing until a staff come to unfreeze you, and you will have to present a record of the cheater, and why you used the command.
The command would be only available to player who has sigma / divine, who have a lot to loss with the abuse of command.
Obviously if you abusing it you could be banned and got remove the command.

Honestly the gamemode would be a lot better and i think pika-network has a lot more to win than loose with this suggestion.

In the first solution, I don't think it will solve the problem because minimum amount of playtime and linking your discord account has nothing to do with cheaters. Also, it will get annoying for a lot of people and they will stop playing the gamemode, and also there are people who are below discord's required age limit, so they wouldn't be able to play the gamemode because of the discord linking, and I don't think it is right to encourage people to break the Discord ToS just to play a gamemode. Along with that, encouraging people to break the rules is against the rules itself.

I don't think the second solution is effective as well, because the console can often issue false bans, so the same will happen with freezes as it will issue false freezes. So, it will get annoying for many people and they will stop playing the gamemode.

Thanks for your answer.

I can understand the part of your answer concerning the discord tos, so i will explain better.

I made 3 suggestions about cheaters.

The first the discord link account :
First of all, IT HAS to do with cheater because most of cheaters are just new account created to drop someone in void, while flying so you can’t do anything.
S/O Rhenish.

So if every player need the discord linked, cheater will be able to cheat 1 - 2 times but after that it will be more difficult due to lack of discord account.

I also want to say that already a lot of person are linked, so the major playerbase will stay.

What about discord TOS ?

Thats why i said we can also make a minimal time requirement specifically to this case, so with this no problem.

About the /freeze command :

Remember it’s only accessible to sigma / divine they have a lot to loss, and they can easily be removed command to the first lack of evidence.
And btw the command are here to make sure you don’t die against blatant cheating like fly kill aura.

So yeah skypvp will have less players, logically but as an active player i can tell almost 1/4 of player are just :
- alt farming rewards playtime.
- alt cheating to drop someone.
- alt to drop someone to use the benefit of being unknown ( using leaflet pet / zeus pet ).

Now if you want to answer, i would really appreciate that you tell me how many sets you lost against a cheater.
Personally i lost 2, 1 flameborn and 1 autumn.
So about 400 k loss due to players that should never be in the gamemode and got rewarded with cheating.
