Suggestion:
Separate Stats for 1.8 and 1.20

Detailed description:
Right now, the leaderboard for kills and top kills in OP Lifesteal combines players from both 1.8 and 1.20 versions. While this may seem convenient, it can create confusion and reduce competitiveness. Many players specialize in one version—either 1.8 or 1.20—because the gameplay mechanics, combat feel, and strategies are different. By merging stats, players who focus on one version may feel overshadowed by players who are active in the other version.

I suggest creating separate stats boards for 1.8 and 1.20. This means:
  • Players on 1.8 will see a leaderboard reflecting only 1.8 kills and top kills.
  • Players on 1.20 will have their own leaderboard for kills and top kills in 1.20.
  • Both boards can be displayed at spawn, in the /stats command, or in floating texts if currently implemented.
This separation will give players a more accurate view of their performance, encourage competition within each version, and create a fresh experience for both new and veteran players. It also allows the server to maintain the uniqueness and appeal of both 1.8 and 1.20 gameplay styles.

Reason(s):
  1. Players often focus on a single version, and merging stats feels unfair.
  2. Separate leaderboards create a competitive environment for both versions independently.
  3. Encourages new players to compete without feeling overshadowed by veterans from another version.
  4. Enhances the longevity and engagement of the server, as both versions feel important and relevant.

Example(s):

  • Other servers with multi-version gamemodes (like KitPvP or PvP arenas) maintain separate leaderboards for different versions to keep the competition fair.
  • Many competitive communities differentiate stats between old and new versions to allow version-specific achievements to shine.

Good idea, but I think the merged leaderboard should also be kept for players who play both versions.
So, three leaderboards:

1) 1.8
2) 1.20
3) Merged

+1
