Suggestion:
Rules with Examples

Detailed description:
I know the rules and the description of each rule of Pika Network is present, however, not with examples. I think members are breaking many rules because of this lack of clarity of rules. I think, after each description of the rule, here must be a valid example to be provided with it and detailed.
I agree, there are rules which are provided with examples, but why not make it for every example for the better of the server?

Reason(s):
I think implementing this rule on the network will give better clarity for members, and fewer members will be punished on the network because of that. Quality details will definitely engage the member to understand and comprehend the rule better, which can then be passed on to other members so that there are less of rule breakers in the server.

Example(s):
This message has been provided in the PikaNetwork Forums.

Cyber/DDoS threats and wishes
Cyber/DDoS threats and wishes against/for anyone and anything.

In this case, Pika could provide an example, for example, "I am going to hack your PC and send hacked adverts to it"
This is just an example, although obviously, Pika could make it a better example. Members become more aware of this rule in detail and will not do it in the future.

Imo not true at all. 99% of the rules are common sense and easy to understand. If you are unsure about a rule you could easily open a ticket and ask or google it.

Agreed, however, some people may not use the common sense to logic, they would want to be 100% sure that this or that message is not breaking any rule. Thanks for your response!

Then, my friend, if they cannot use common sense, it becomes their problem

Which we don't want. As I mentioned they should be aware of the rules a 100%.

I am not being specific here, I am saying generally, rules should be clarified, then the punishment is valid

Thing is, and you have to take a step back and see the bigger picture to understand that, by insisting on 100% awareness through exhaustive examples, you're advocating for a system that could inadvertently infantilize our community. Pika is an international network, so by stating "community" I would mean people of all differences.

The pursuit of absolute certainty is a fool's errand. Life, much like our server rules, is full of nuance and ambiguity, so learn how to navigate that, you will grow both personally and socially.

By removing all ambiguity, we rob people of the opportunity to develop crucial skills like wisdom and judgement.

Yes, some may struggle initially. But that struggle is valuable.

Hello Cradlless,

Thank you for your interest in creating a suggestion to improve the server. We are always doing our best to make the server a better place for everyone.
However, we have eventually decided to deny your suggestion due to the following reason(s):
  • It would look quite unprofessional to have examples for every rule; especially for the more sensitive ones.
  • Explanations of rules should be enough to ensure you don't break the rules.
For your reference, here is a link to our suggestion guidelines → PikaNetwork Suggestion Guidelines.
Please make sure to read and understand them before suggesting again.

We also advise you to use our Thread Search Feature to look for (similar) already made suggestions and upvote them instead.
Have fun playing on PikaNetwork!
