Reward Players for Accepted Reports
Detailed description:
Overview
I suggest introducing a small Gold reward system for players whose reports are accepted. This would encourage more players to actively report rule breakers while recognizing the time and effort they spend helping keep the server fair and enjoyable.The rewards do not need to be large, just enough to show appreciation and motivate players to submit accurate, quality reports rather than random or false ones.
Suggested Rewards
These are just example values and can be adjusted by the staff team:- Accepted report resulting in a mute: 10 Gold
- Accepted report resulting in a temporary ban: 25 Gold
- Accepted report resulting in a permanent ban: 40–50 Gold
- Accepted report leading to punishment for severe offenses (cheating, exploiting, etc.): Reward based on the severity of the punishment.
Reason(s):
Why This Should Be Added
- Encourages community moderation: Players become more active in helping staff identify rule breakers.
- Rewards effort: Recording evidence, uploading it, and creating a proper report takes time. A small reward recognizes that effort.
- Improves server quality: More valid reports mean rule breakers are dealt with faster, creating a better experience for everyone.
- Motivates accurate reporting: Since rewards are only given for accepted reports, players have an incentive to submit well-documented, legitimate reports instead of spam.
Example(s):
Preventing Abuse
To avoid exploitation, a few rules could be implemented:- Rewards are only given for accepted reports.
- Duplicate reports on the same player should only reward the first accepted report with valid evidence.
- False, edited, or spam reports receive no rewards.
- Staff retain the final decision on whether a report qualifies for a reward.
- A daily reward cap could be added if necessary to prevent farming.
