Detailed description:

remove of the latest versions from minigames beacouse some players gain an unfair andvantage from that. If you open minecraft 1.16.5 you can see that the iron axe does 9 DAMAGE!!!​

Hello,

Those players actually don't get any advantages. It just says for them that their axes deal more damage than they actually do. It's all visual and in reality, nothing is different. Their axes actually still deal a normal amount of damage.

the server default version should be 1.8. Although the server allowes higher version of player to join, but the server only accept 1.8 things, which means there will not have any advantage.
