OP SkyBlock Remove Mines PvP

Suggestion:
Remove Mines PvP

Detailed description:
From new seaon update remove the PvP from mines because it makes no sense people go there for minning not for pvp.

As :

  • Mine 1: 2 bosses, no PvP, no item drops
  • Mine 2: 2 bosses, no PvP, no item drop
  • Mine 3: 2 bosses, PvP allowed, no item drops
  • Mine 4: 2 bosses, PvP allowed, no item drops
  • Mines 5–8: Same as Mine 4 but with item drops and better rewards


Reason(s):
One island can just boost 1 of their island member to high level and then he can camp there and wont allow other people to progress.

The mines should not have PvP as peacefull people chose mining over PvP and enabling PvP in mines just means to make opsb more PvP based about which people are already reporting.

As we know that if we are in combat we cannot leave mines it makes mines more compact pvp zones as 25 second is more than enough for someone to bowboost and catch up.

Example(s):
We all have seen the consequences in realms season where people just camp at spawn of mines and kill peoples.

After carefully reviewing your suggestion I have decided to down vote it for the following:
Adding pvp to warp mines makes much difference and adds unique experience to the gamemode and the more the change the better the experience it shows how islands don't have to depend on only mining but also recruiting pvpers as you can find them everywhere.However, talking about boosting an island member shouldn't be a problem for you since you took all your friend Leo1615 's gkits and you got tons of level skips which is a problem that you are not facing and you are complaining about.
Also we have seen how dead opsb becomes without having comp at mines aka pvp which just increased the player count in opsb as you can see today or yesterday, At 1 am there are 80+ online active players grinding and playing ( not counting afk accounts and bots with them).
Also not to mention that 90% of the upvotes on this post are by players who have 0 experience on Opskyblock or even tried it once in their life, Not even active on forums they were just forwarded a link by you being asked to upvote it.
Not to mention that adding it or removing it won't affect me as I'm already winning #1's without pvp in mines and with it.

Hello, Not to disturb you but I have never seen you actively playing on Skyblock, you are a skymines main player aka 1.18 player but you are only upvoting this because you are forwarded a link and was told to upvote it, May reconsider your decision next time.

-1 I strongly dislike this change because removing PvP from the mines will kill the mode. OP Skyblock is already struggling, and we’ve seen what happens when PvP is disabled the mode becomes inactive and uncompetitive.

Without PvP, there’s no real risk or excitement. It turns into nothing more than mining, which starts to feel like OP Prison: safe, repetitive, and lacking meaningful interaction. PvP is what creates tension, competition, and player-driven moments.

You can easily support both playstyles. Miners and PvPers are everywhere, and you can even hire both at the same time. If players only want PvP, KitPvP and OP Factions already exist. If they only want mining, OP Prison covers that perfectly.

OP Skyblock is meant to be a balance of PvP, mining, and a strong economy. Removing one of these core elements strips away what makes the mode unique and enjoyable.
I am never against removing miners and never against removing pvpers. It should be balanced, pvp is already 20% the crystal points so i don't think nerfing pvp more is a good solution for the pvpers, also pvp is not allowed for every mine just high levels one so the pvpers will have to actually hard grind to level up

too many hackers r present on this server and the loot which one takes for mines ūsually cost a lot hence it is annoying to take it which makes it harder to play.
I disagree since hackers can hack while mining (NUKE) and hack while pvping (Kill aura, reach, etc) i don't see this as an issue for removing pvp from the mines

I dont agree because mining should include a risk vs reward. this will encourage islands to work together even more than they already do.
Opskyblock needs this to stay alive since it makes it more competitive. and its not even allowed for the lower lvl mine only high lvl ones. This makes it fair for the players since those ores give a lot of value and money. if you just get them without taking a risk that would be too easy

-1 even with no PvP other islands can boost another island this doesn't make any sense,To get top with PvP enable will be harder to get not like the other seasons .Also getting random players from other gamemodes to upvote Ur suggestion with 0 opskyblock knowledge will get this suggestion instantly denied

This would make pushing island value, island top, and payouts significantly easier, creating an imbalance in favor of players who never have to deal with pressure or risk.

not completely only the item drop part. As pika crashes every so and then , internet issues from our side etc makes a high risk of losing gear that will takes weeks to grind

After Looking through this suggestions, i decided to down-vote it. as far as you know, Op-Skyblock is already struggling. removing Pvp mines doesn't make sense. people would be able to mine "freely" and it makes us "no challenging". why not challenging? because people can be able to contest island top "easily" and that makes gamemode dead for the past seasons. as far as we know, why are you worried about this issue? you took all leon's and florinyo's gkits and yet you're still complaining about this? i don't see any problem adding pvp in others mines

This is a very bad idea the main purpose of mines pvp is to fight for progression and we cant do that if dont have pvp its like FFA but in adventure mode there is no point of removing pvp in mines and its a bad idea in my opinion Maybe increase the chance of revival yes but remove pvp in mines Huge mistake which will lead to the downfall of OPSB

I disagree with disabling item drops. The reasons given for removing them aren’t convincing.
Server crashes are a server side issue, not something that should affect core gameplay mechanics. As for internet problems, that’s an individual issue. Not everyone has unstable internet, and game features shouldn’t be removed because of that.
The “high risk of losing gear” is actually the whole point. Risk is what creates competition. If there’s no chance of losing items, players can grind nonstop with no consequences, which kills the competitive aspect of the mode.
Item drops force players to play smarter, take calculated risks, and stay engaged. That risk is what keeps the competition alive and meaningful.

I dislike this suggestion because PvP is already heavily nerfed. PvP currently only gives 20% of the total points, so nerfing it even further would simply kill the gamemode. We don’t want this to turn into OP Prison, where all you do is mine with no risk and no competition.

The entire purpose of this gamemode is risk vs reward. PvP is only enabled in Ruby, Aqua, Jade, and Opal mines the highest-tier mines with the best rewards. If you want access to those rewards, it’s fair that you also accept the risk of losing items.

I don’t recommend making the gamemode purely mining-based, and I also don’t agree with making it purely PvP-based. It should be balanced, and the current system already achieves that well: roughly 50% mining and 20% PvP, alongside other objectives.

OP SkyBlock is about more than just PvP. Winning Island Top involves mining, killing bosses for points, buying spawners to increase island value, capturing KOTHs and outposts, and the stronghold. All of these aspects combined create real competition.

Removing or further nerfing PvP would strip away competitiveness and excitement, leaving the gamemode as nothing more than 24/7 safe mining something we’ve already seen not work.
