Enchanted books and potions cannot be sold in regular shops so I came up with a redstone based design a year or two ago to sell them.
I have already built the shops for a lot of people or allowed them to copy it but I figured I would make a small guide so the design can reach newer people as well and it can be a little easier for them to copy it.
This is my newest and most compact design for now.
The shop is relatively compact and requires a pretty small amount of materials.
Required materials:
-chest
-barrel
-redstone lamp
-hopper
-dropper (2)
-comparator (2)
-repeater
-redstone torch
-redstone dust
-solid building blocks (6)
-slab
1: place a building block with 2 droppers next to it facing upwards (one on the top and one on the side.
Place a chest on top of the higher dropper.

2: place a building block behind the chest followed by a comparator on a slab, followed by another building block.

3: place a building block with a redstone dust on top beneath the previous building block.
Place a torch and a repeater going into the starting building block.

4: place a hopper with a barrel going into the lower dropper.

5: place a comparator facing away from the hopper with a building block above and ahead of the comparator.
Place a redstone lamp between these two building blocks.

6: turn the chest into a player shop and set it to 'buy' for a filler item (any cheap item) for the price that you want to sell the enchanted book/potion for (I usually use stick).

7: fill the chest with exactly one filler item
Fill the dropper below the chest with the filler items (in this case, sticks)
8: fill the barrel with the enchanted books/potions that you want to sell in this shop.
How this shop works:
There is only one item in the chest. Whenever someone buys this item the comparator behind the chest turns off.
This turns on the redstone torch and repeater which activate the two droppers.
The lower dropper drops the enchanted book/potion while the higher dropper refills the chest with only one item (makes it ready to be used again).
The redstone lamp is used to inform buyers about the estimated stock in the shop (lamp on=more than 9 stock).
Make sure to write the instructions to using this on a sign or something in your shop so people can conveniently use it.
The shop can sometimes break due to bad tps. If it does break and the chest becomes empty just fill the chest back with one filler item.
