Suggestion:
Quick Staff Messaging System

Detailed description:
Add a feature command like /staffmsg that allows players to send a message directly to an online staff member. Players can view online staff by using the /staff command.

With this feature, players can easily contact staff and ask for help. Currently, there are many rule breakers and cheaters, and reporting them on the forum takes a long time to get a response from the staff team.

This feature would allow players to quickly reach out to staff in-game, so they can respond faster and take action against rule breakers by punishing them when necessary.

Reason(s):
Why this feature is useful:

  • Faster response time: Players can get help immediately instead of waiting hours or days for forum replies.
  • Stronger rule enforcement: Staff can act quickly against cheaters and rule breakers before they affect more players.
  • Better player experience: Easy access to staff makes players feel safer and more supported.
  • Reduced forum load: Fewer reports and questions will be posted on the forum, making it cleaner and more organized.
  • Direct communication: Players can contact staff without confusion or delay.
  • Prevents abuse early: Quick reporting helps stop hackers, scammers, and exploiters before damage spreads.
  • Encourages fair play: Knowing staff are easily reachable discourages players from breaking rules.
  • Useful in emergencies: Critical situations (like hacking or major bugs) can be handled instantly in-game.

/report lacks alot
for example when i try to report someone for fast place, that just doesn't exist
but by msging you can further explain to staff.

also /staffmsg can be helpful for minor questions that just aren't worth sending in forums or asking in discord.

As a staff member, I'm against this for 4 reasons.

One reason is that the forums and discord server exists. They are used as a hub of communication and I don't see the point of turning the mc server into one when you can achieve the same needed communication through the other platforms. You're expected to make player reports anyway and you can't expect the low number of staff members to always be free to help you with questions or cheaters. Most of the time, I'm recording evidence to prepare for a ban and having a player message me in the middle of it wouldn't be ideal.

2nd reason is that you already have the /report system in-game and on forums which you're expected to use as it lowers the workload on us in a systematic way. It may take time yes but we are human. If /report is insatisfactory, then prepare your own evidence and make a player report on forums. Although if they're online, theres no harm in dming an online staff member on discord.

3rd reason is that players can abuse this severely to harass staff members. It's no secret that some players despise the staff team, this just adds a way for them to directly message us their insults.

last reason is workload, for helpers specifically, we deal with player reports both in-game and on forums, monitoring discord and in-game chats, helping players in-game chats and in discord channels, and punishing or preparing to punish rule breakers (as in preparing evidence). While it changes in activity hours of the server, adding another layer onto it doesn't seem like a good idea.
