QoL Changes to Custom Enchant Menu
Detailed description:
I find the current state of the /ce menu a biiiit confusing. It randomly sorts itself roughly every 24h (server time) and just feels like a placeholder menu sooooooo, I built upon it myself! (Most features will be done visually and simply given an explanation in text cuz I'm kinda lazy.) in-concept=in mockup because the features don't exist in-server :c. Ignore the bottom I was too lazy to make it presentable I also don't got a tl;dr so please read in its entirety
VISUAL AID VIA MOCKUP IN EXAMPLE(S)
1. Improved and Dual-Filter System
- Type Filter: Cycles through enchantment categories (All → Armor → Tool → Weapon → Ranged[I made this one!])
- Source Filter: Cycles through enchantment origins (All → Refined → Arcane)
Both filters in-concept work independently or in combination (e.g., view only Refined armor enchantments)
Filters can be applied in any state, including when viewing all enchantments
2. Alphabetical Sorting
- Toggle between default(random?) order and alphabetical sorting
- In-concept should respect active filters (e.g., alphabetically sort only Tool enchantments, or only Arcane enchantments)
3. Rarity-Based Color Coding (separate from QoL features as I really wanted to pitch this)
- Visual distinction between enchantment rarities (Common, Rare, Epic, Mythic, etc.)
Note: This was more of a pseudo-community-driven tiering system I came up with since all Arcane enchantments have equal roll chances and were ALL "Common Arcane/Refined enchantment" for some reason despite their being more objective and subjective value between CE's (Anyone would pick Stormhailer and Heartstealer over Icetide and Aegis)making this more of a perceived value/usefulness categorization rather than a strict mechanical rarity in whichever way this could possibly be implemented
Reason(s):
With the current enchantment count, and the "volatility" of finding specific enchants being artificially tedious, these filters would allow players(mainly me) to quickly narrow down what they're looking for by category and source, with a secondary fixed sorting system(alphabetically) allowing for muscle memory as to knowing where to find a custom enchants info. And I REALLLLY the rarity system(however it may be implemented) would add more life to the menu.
Basically, "quality of life is always good."
Example(s):
Unfortunately my only method of example is via mockup. I hope ~3 minutes isn't took long
