Suggestion:
Permanent Ban for 'aDvErTiSiNg'

Detailed description:
For some time now, the rule of mentioning a servers name has become bannable. For example, if a player says "Come to play.example.net for a good factions experience", they should be banned right? They are purposely trying to lore multiple players onto their server, intending to steal the networks players. Then there is someone saying - in an argument/trash talking with another player and they need to settle this so one player says "1v1 me on example" which is far different than the first example I used. In most cases the abbreviation of the server is used, for example 'mmc'.

This rule that's been implemented should be re-looked at and i'm sure many players will agree with me on this and if not removed then the punishments should be changed to a warn first so players actually know its not allowed. Most rules that are implemented on pika is kept lowkey and just updated on the forums and maybe even the discord. However, not everyone is active on those so not everyone will know. When a new rule is set in place it should be made pretty clear that its in place.

Being an experienced pvper and practice player, I can tell you that the practice on pika is terrible. The knockback is messed up and so is the hit detection. I also know how easy it is to fix both of those things as I have my own server in development with its own practice.

If players use the abbreviations of servers and the other player doesn't know what it is, then its most likely they dont know the server, but in most cases players are asking other players to 1v1 them on known servers, servers that are way bigger than Pika-Network. So they aren't stealing any players from pika if the servers already known. There are servers that are more PvP focused and a lot better to actually see who's the better player.

These players that are unintentionally 'advertising' are being permanently banned by staff and in order to come back, they must buy an unban for 30euros which is unfair.

This is factual information, I completely agree with this and suggest that staff take action to amend these rules.

+1, mentioning other server name is classified as light advertising. In this case, players who did that should get a warn instead of permbanned at first offence. But if someone mentioned the IP like : "COME AND JOIN (play.pika-network.net)" they deserve the permanent ban.

ok, here's a couple of things:
1. people maybe not be active on the forums, but they should. the forums are permanently announced on the servers and so is the discord channel.
2. people can communicate with each other OVER discord and do not HAVE to mention server names, ip adresses or abberivations over the game-mode chat if they want to invite someone to go play on another server.
3. Pika-network being a smaller server has a very good reason not to want players to go to bigger servers and has every right to protect it self from players going there.
4. it is not true that mentioning server name is not allowed. there is a nuance there.
5. you are right, changes in rules should be clearly communicated, and that is not always the case.

On a personal note i support you call that there maybe should be a lighter punishment opposed to serious advertising a server. So I will

+1 Mentioning the server's name should not be punishable but mentioning the ip should be.

The rule is encouraging people to play on another server , if you say to someone come play on 'oopdoopie' server , they are going to be encoruaged by you to go there and in effect your stealing a player from Pika to go to there. That's why advertising is banned because Pika don't want there players being stolen to other servers (think about it) , the principle is still the same.
You shouldn't encourage other people to leave Pika to go to another server.
Also I suggest if your playing Pika its essential you go and read the rules , a solution to a lot of issues might be to signpost the rules section more clearly by providing alerts ingame saying to check the rules regularly OR to have some sort of rules thing you have to read when you join the server.
Either way advertising is advertising and they're not just saying a server name.
I might change my opinion on this based on what others say , but those are just my thoughts :?

Yeah, I mean you have to see what's wrong right? Advertising rules are in place to keep people from being poached from Pika. Whether you say the full name or the ip, saying "Hey come play with me on [server name]" is pretty obviously telling people to leave Pika for another server. It's not like you just mentioned that, say for example, Mineplex exists. It's that you said "let's go to this server" over Pika. It's fairly clear why this is against the rules
