Ownership of plots to use World Edit

Okay, so recently I had a builder on the Creative server helping me with some world edit stuff. Unfortunately that person had to leave and therefore forgot to give me my plot back.

Now, here comes the issue.

Why do you have to own the plot to use world edit? If you give someone permission to your plot, clearly you trust that person and that person would probably not cause havoc. I would like to suggest this to be fixed in some sort of way - how, I don't know.

I haven't been able to build on my plot for almost a week and it takes such a long time to get in touch with someone who can actually fix it.

Let me hear what you guys and girls think about this.

No, you must own the plot in order to use worldedit, we are not letting players worldedit freely on other plots if its not theirs because it would be mean they dont need to be even trusted (/ps weanywhere).
And you will have to wait for him to give back the plot, we aren't responsible for such issues.
