Suggestion:
Mentorship

Detailed description:
I honestly think BedWars needs something that helps new players instead of just throwing them into matches where they instantly get destroyed by sweats. A lot of beginners quit really fast because they don’t even get the chance to learn the basics properly.

So I had an idea for a Mentor System.

Players who are Level 60+ could become “Guides” or “Mentors” for newer players under Level 20. The whole point wouldn’t just be carrying them to wins, but actually teaching them things like:

-how to bridge properly
-basic PvP tips
-bed defense setups
-generator upgrades
-game sense and rushing strategies
-teamwork and communication

The game could have a separate queue where beginners can choose if they want a mentor. Then the system matches them with experienced players who volunteer to help.

What would make this really interesting is the reward system.

If a mentor successfully helps a newbie reach Level 20, the mentor gets a secret reward. The important part is that they don’t know what the reward is beforehand. It could be:

-exclusive cosmetics
-lobby gadgets
-kill messages
-victory dances
-special titles
-rare seasonal items
-maybe even super rare animated cosmetics

I feel like the mystery itself would make people want to mentor more often.

There should obviously be anti-abuse systems too, so people can’t just farm rewards with alts. Maybe the newbie has to actively play matches, improve naturally, and the system tracks actual progress.

I also think this could seriously improve the community. Right now, a lot of newer players get flamed for being bad, even though everyone started somewhere. This system would give experienced players a reason to actually help newer players instead of making fun of them.

It would also make reaching higher levels feel more meaningful because skilled players would become respected teachers, not just strong players.

Overall, I think something like this would make BedWars way more welcoming while still keeping the competitive side of the game alive.

Reason(s):
I like this as this would make the gamemode much more better and playable and the Mentor System would honestly be one of the best ways to help newer BedWars players improve without making the game easier or less competitive. Right now, most beginners join their first few matches and immediately get rushed by experienced players who already know every strategy, every PvP trick, and every map layout. A lot of them end up quitting because they never really get the chance to learn naturally.

The idea is simple: experienced players who are Level 60+ can choose to become mentors for newer players under Level 20. These mentors wouldn’t just carry beginners to free wins — their role would actually be to teach them how the game works and help them improve over time.

There could be a separate queue or system where beginners can request a mentor. Once matched, the mentor would guide them through real games while teaching important things like:

  • how to bridge safely
  • basic PvP techniques
  • when to rush
  • how to defend beds properly
  • generator management
  • teamwork and communication
  • map awareness and decision making

What makes this system interesting is that it focuses on learning through experience instead of boring tutorials. New players would improve while actually playing real matches with someone helping them along the way.

The reward system would also make mentoring feel worth it. If a mentor successfully helps a beginner reach Level 20, the mentor receives a mystery reward. The catch is that the reward stays hidden until the challenge is completed, which makes the process more exciting.

Possible rewards could include:

-rare cosmetics
-special mentor titles
-unique kill effects
-lobby gadgets
-victory dances

Since mentors don’t know exactly what they’ll get, it creates a fun surprise factor and gives experienced players a reason to keep helping new people.

There should obviously be anti-abuse systems too, so players can’t farm rewards using alternate accounts. The game could track actual progress, match activity, improvement, and playtime to make sure the mentoring is genuine.

One of the biggest reasons this idea would work is because it could seriously improve the BedWars community. A lot of newer players get flamed for being bad even though everyone started as a beginner at some point. This system would encourage experienced players to become leaders and teachers instead of only focusing on stats and sweating every match.

It would also make reaching higher levels feel more meaningful. Instead of Level 60+ players only being known for grinding, they could become respected mentors who help grow the community and keep newer players interested in the game.

Overall, the Mentor System would make BedWars feel more welcoming, less toxic, and more community-driven while still keeping the competitive side of the game alive.

Example(s):
Okay so picture this — new player, his name's Alex, just started BedWars, sitting at like Level 4. Every single game he joins he's getting rushed before he even figures out what's going on. Doesn't know how to bridge without falling off, has no clue why everyone's hitting him weird in fights, and honestly probably doesn't even know generators exist yet.

Most players just quit at that point. But instead, Alex finds the Mentor Queue and gets paired up with Blaze, some Level 87 who actually knows what he's doing.

And the thing is — Blaze doesn't sit there and lecture him. He just plays, and while they're playing he starts pointing stuff out. Like hey, bridge like this or you'll fall. Hey rush mid now, not later. Hey stop standing still when you fight, use your blocks. Small things, but they actually make sense in the moment because Alex is seeing it happen live, not reading a guide somewhere.

Alex still loses. A lot. He still makes dumb mistakes for a while. But gradually things start clicking. He survives a bit longer each game. Starts getting kills instead of just dying instantly. Actually understands why he lost instead of just feeling confused and annoyed.

Fast forward a bit and he's around Level 20 now — way more confident, actually having fun, not rage quitting every other match.

And when he hits that milestone, Blaze gets a mystery chest. No idea what's in it, which honestly makes it better. Could be a rare cosmetic, some exclusive title, a kill effect, a lobby gadget, maybe even an animated cape if he's lucky. The not-knowing is part of it.

Both of them got something out of it. Alex didn't quit the game out of frustration, and Blaze actually had a reason to help someone instead of just sweating for stats all day.

I think making the mentor system would make bedwars lobbies slower. but idk
myself I invited multiple friends to play bedwars but they couldn't get to enjoy because how hard it was for them as there is to much going on, so adding a tutorial or something similar I think would help them.
if this suggestion got denied try to suggest a tutorial one

Cause already people are tired of playing bws daily and you think that pro players ( in your case 40 50 level above players ) would spend thier time coaching a random beginner instead of just playing with thier friends is mad . Aint no pro player gonna sit and teach beginners and just see them failing time and time no one is this dedicated trust .

I think you didn't read my proposal properly, as i mentioned players above 60+ lvl gets a chance to mentor the newbies making a bond between them and might help in building a better community, and also that it would not be necessary to do so, only the players who want perks or want to become a coach could do it.

Well, I understand the idea, but making this possible would be hard. Additionally we all had to start simple. I think there are many tutorials on how to play on YouTube, and players can learn there.
It is not possible to prevent abuse, unintended game mechanics, etc.
Players can ask experienced players anyways, and create private matches...
Interesting idea though!
