Suggestion:
Make GenPvP 1.20 Based
Detailed description:
I have noticed that currently, GenPvP supports both Minecraft versions 1.8 and 1.20. While this may seem convenient, it actually causes some gameplay inconsistencies. In version 1.20, spam-clicking deals almost the same damage as critical hits, which doesn’t align with the intended mechanics of the newer version. For example, in 1.20, a proper critical hit should reward timing and skill, but with the current setup, players can simply spam-click or even use autoclickers to deal high damage instantly. This reduces the skill gap and can make fights feel unfair.
I would suggest making GenPvP fully 1.20 based. This would ensure that combat mechanics like critical hits, cooldowns, and attack strength scaling work as intended, creating a more balanced and skill-focused PvP environment.
I would suggest making GenPvP fully 1.20 based. This would ensure that combat mechanics like critical hits, cooldowns, and attack strength scaling work as intended, creating a more balanced and skill-focused PvP environment.
Reason(s):
- Spam-clicking currently provides the same damage as properly timed crits.
- Autoclickers exploit the current system, allowing instant kills and making fights unfair.
- Aligning the gamemode with 1.20 mechanics will make PvP feel more modern and skill-based.
Example(s):
- Player A attacks with properly timed hits and crits in 1.20. Normally, they would deal 7–8 hearts of damage in a combo.
- Player B uses spam-clicking or an autoclicker. Under the current system, they deal almost the same damage in the same time frame, making Player A’s skill irrelevant.
- If GenPvP were 1.20 based, Player A’s timing and strategy would matter more, while Player B’s spam-clicking would be less effective.
