Suggestion:
Make GenPvP 1.20 Based

Detailed description:
I have noticed that currently, GenPvP supports both Minecraft versions 1.8 and 1.20. While this may seem convenient, it actually causes some gameplay inconsistencies. In version 1.20, spam-clicking deals almost the same damage as critical hits, which doesn’t align with the intended mechanics of the newer version. For example, in 1.20, a proper critical hit should reward timing and skill, but with the current setup, players can simply spam-click or even use autoclickers to deal high damage instantly. This reduces the skill gap and can make fights feel unfair.

I would suggest making GenPvP fully 1.20 based. This would ensure that combat mechanics like critical hits, cooldowns, and attack strength scaling work as intended, creating a more balanced and skill-focused PvP environment.

Reason(s):
  • Spam-clicking currently provides the same damage as properly timed crits.
  • Autoclickers exploit the current system, allowing instant kills and making fights unfair.
  • Aligning the gamemode with 1.20 mechanics will make PvP feel more modern and skill-based.

Example(s):
  • Player A attacks with properly timed hits and crits in 1.20. Normally, they would deal 7–8 hearts of damage in a combo.
  • Player B uses spam-clicking or an autoclicker. Under the current system, they deal almost the same damage in the same time frame, making Player A’s skill irrelevant.
  • If GenPvP were 1.20 based, Player A’s timing and strategy would matter more, while Player B’s spam-clicking would be less effective.

I definitely think this is a necessary change. I honestly have no clue why it's a 1.20 server with 1.8 pvp. I feel like pika wants to update gamemodes to the latest version, but still keep the 1.8 mechanics which is perhaps the 2nd worst idea, 1st place going to skypvp. I've seen a bizarre amount of people complain about the 1.8 pvp of this gamemode and it hasn't even been 12 hours. Gamemodes need to start updating to later versions, and I'm not just talking about the server version. I mean the PvP and every aspect of it. 1.8 is outdated and should be moved on.
If enough people +1 this suggestion it should hopefully change as I see GenPvP being a v2 of SkyPvP

+1 People would rather play on modern version rather than both combined together
