Suggestion:
Less Harsh Punishment for Advertising

Detailed description:
Light advertising (such as inviting players to a personal server in my case or non-competitive content without links) should result in a mute instead of an immediate ban.
For first offenses of minor advertising, the punishment length could also be reduced from 90 days to around 30.

Worse forms of advertising, like promoting other large servers and spam, still justify harsher punishments and could be separated into new category.

Reason(s):
A mute already prevents any sort of advertising, so banning the player is just overkill. And Light forms of advertising are very unlikely to drive players off the network.

I disagree with the part that it should be a mute instead of a ban.
Advertising, be it without any IPs or not, is a serious offense, I don't think a mute is good enough to make up for it.

However, I do agree that light advertising (without IPs or similar) should a 7 or 30 day ban on first offense instead of 90.
As a final decision, I will stay neutral on this.
