keepInventory in Cube World
Detailed description:
Important: Read the Reasons!
I suggest enabling the gamerule keepInventory in the custom generating large "Cube-World", or "Main-World".
This makes players keep every item in their inventory upon death.
Reason(s):
GenPvP is slowly getting less and less players. And there is an easy way to fix it.
Goal is bringing back players to the gamemode and attracting new players.
It is very frustrating when players grind relatively good gear and get killed by a player that has OP armor, elytra and mace.
Detailed:
- Losing items is the most logical reason why players get bored of the gamemode
- Players who have elytra and mace do not need the players stuff that they kill, even though it is relatively good
- The Outpost area is left for players to continue collecting stuff from other players
- There is no reason to keep the keepInventory gamerule disabled → It's unnecessary and very annoying, so players quit
A server with keepInventory enabled:
- OP players still have their fun macing players → they don't need their gear
- Players who grinded hours for more money to get better gear don't have to worry about losing it instantly
- The gamemode has a lot more active players, because it's actually fun to play and not everything is lost upon death
- The outpost world will be the dangerous and competetive warzone.
From my point of view, this is the main reason for decreasing playercount.
