Increase the render distance

First. Why does the render distance so short? What the point of having big island space and be able to build large island but unable to see the whole thing or at least, large part of it ?

The render distance is so short that it make me feel pointless of building large islands.

I have my render distance set at 32 chunks and yet all I can see fades away after 6 chunks.

I don't know if this is server resources related or something but fr. At least minimum 12 chunks render would be better. 6 chunks is too close.

I think it is a client side issue rather than a server side, even though it has been a month, I still suggest that you should use a resource pack or mod like NoFog (Make sure they are ALLOWED and do NOT provide any unfair advantage, you can check that by clicking Here)
