Suggestion:
Improve or remove the /staff command functionality

Detailed description:
What is the /staff Command?

The /staff command is a handy feature in Pika that lets players check out a list of currently online staff members in the game. Simply type "/staff" in the chat, and you'll get instant access to details about the staff members available, including their roles and whereabouts.

What's the Main Issue Here?

The current /staff command is experiencing some issues. Vanished staff members aren't showing up in the list, making it tricky to reach em. Even if they're on your friend list, vanished staff don't appear there either. To add to the challenge, attempting contact often hits a roadblock due to message restrictions. This suggestion puts forward the idea of either improving or ditching the /staff command to overcome these hurdles.

How does the current /staff command impact communication between players and staff members?

The limitations of the current /staff command, like vanished staff members not appearing and communication barriers, create obstacles for players trying to connect with the staff. A revamped system should prioritize making player-staff communication seamless, ensuring everyone can easily reach out and get the support they need.

Reason(s):
What's the Deal with the Current /staff Command?

The current /staff command seems to be hitting a few roadblocks, making it a bit less than stellar when it comes to connecting players with staff members. Whether it's vanished staff not showing up or other limitations, the communication flow isn't as smooth as it could be. This suggestion floats the idea of either beefing up the existing /staff command or giving it the boot to pave the way for a more seamless player-staff interaction experience.

Why Push for This Change?

Implementing this idea has the potential to give players a much more straightforward and reliable system for getting in touch with staff members. The current challenges tied to the /staff command could be a thing of the past, and in its place, a more efficient and hassle-free communication channel could emerge. It's all about ironing out the kinks and ensuring players can easily connect with the staff when needed.

We cannot all rely on the anti-cheat, whether we like it or not, it is not hard to bypass Polar, especially when it comes to flying, which is popular these days on Pika. Fly hackers running bedwars games daily, and all we, as players, can do is watch them do it.

A simple message to an active staff member could easily fix that, but how can I message the staff member when he is nowhere to be found?

This is what this suggestion is all about, communication between players and staff members, us helping you keep the server cleaner, and you helping us have a good time.

I think the whole point of staff members being able to not show up on /staff is to remain hidden when doing staff work. For example, if a staff member is vanished (invisible), and they still were to show up on /staff, that would defeat the whole purpose of it. Every player on the server could easily see where any staff is at anytime, which would negatively impact their staff duties.

Darling, that is happening and it is leading to /staff being empty almost 24/7.

This is the whole reason that I thought of suggesting for it's removal.

Well yeah, but vanishing would be useless for staff if cheaters can just see where staff are on the Network. Furthermore, you have both Discord, Staff DM's (both on the forums and on Discord) and Support Tickets via forums. Although I agree that /staff has no ulterior purpose than the fact that you can only see un-vanished staff members, there is no need to show vanished players via /staff.

Man, you can see if he is in bedwars, not on your game.

Hey PyroInDaBus,

Your suggestion to improve or revamp the /staff command is spot on! The detailed description clearly highlights the challenges players face, especially with vanished staff members not appearing and communication roadblocks. Having a reliable system to connect with staff members is crucial, and your proposal addresses this issue head-on.

By either enhancing the existing /staff command or introducing a more effective alternative, we can streamline player-staff communication. This change has the potential to make reporting issues, addressing concerns, and ensuring a cleaner server experience much more accessible.

Your insight into the current hurdles, such as the limitations of the anti-cheat system and the prevalence of fly hackers, underscores the importance of seamless communication between players and staff. This suggestion not only identifies a problem but also offers a solution to enhance the overall gameplay environment.

Looking forward to seeing this positive change implemented to foster a more collaborative and enjoyable community on Pika.

Best regards,
TejasIsPro

This sounds so GPT generated.

But thank you, I get your point. This was my initial thought, how can we deal with cheaters who are ruining our games without the staff members on our side?

Hey PyroInDaBus,

It's not ChatGPT generated, I trained a special AI that generates content according to PikaNetwork MC .

-1, If hackers could see when staff is online then They could bypass Getting frozen or getting punished.

Hey,

Removing the command doesn't make it show the entire online staff team, if now we can't see them, then we will never be able to see them since the command will be removed.
