I've been googling for sometime now. This issue never occurred before but, 1 day I accidentally decided to play around with the sounds/playback settings on my W10. Don't ask me why...I was bored OK, don't judge me. And now I can no longer use my input mic to speak to people on Skype or TeamSpeak. This has been going on for a week and usually this sorta of thing I would fix since, I've done IT etc, but I'm out of ideas and clearly the internet itself can't help me, so you lot are my last resort. If you're good with computers, please give me all the information I need because all anyone hears through my mic is static noises. I've tested it on TS and it doesn't capture when I speak. Same thing on Skype. I'll give you the info's if indeed. I've even reset my PC and it still has that issue, I'm literally pissed off at the moment, so if you've got time, just leave you point of view below. Thanks.

...click start and type microphone and click what mic you are using, maybe the program you used switched the mic.

Go to Skype's Audio settings and see if it's using the default device as mic
If it is then check the System Sounds and see if your microphone is activated, just right click on that Speaker icon in your tool bar, Audio Mixer or something and there's a System Sounds icon.
Click on the system sounds icon and go to Recordig Devices and set your microphone as the default communication device
