I can't find friendly mobs

Heyy... I just started survival and can't see a single friendly mob in sight, due to which I die of hunger... please suggest what to do... help would be appreciated

Hey, there definetly are a lot of animals you can kill for meat , there's no issue with despawning.
Remember you can use /kit starter which provides you with 32 steak and 1 golden apple , that should keep you alive for quite a long time
